Not $12... Same $8 reimbursement and $4 Fee. They just changed the wording.

It's not $8 reimbursement because it's always been an $8 lump sum fee. The wording is correct: $12 fee; or $8 fee + $4 bonus with no reimbursement amount.

I really don't like going to Queen Creek to shop. Every time I do, I get lost. lol So it doesn't happen very often. Usually the shop has to be sitting on the board for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time and have a bonus for me to do it. Plus I have to have no other plans for the day. So don't worry about it too much. smiling smiley

I thought the $12 was including the order requirements. I don't like their burgers. Years ago, I ate the burger with the nasty mayo sauce and regretted it terribly. The only thing I will eat from there now are the tacos and curly fries. I guess I'm out. I won't even make my kids eat their burgers.
Well, fudge. I finally geared up to take a late-night shop, because it pays $2 more, it says you don't have to go inside if you feel unsafe for any reason, and I found a good location listed that I could swing by on my way home from a party tomorrow night.

And then, even though the shop says from now until Sunday, Friday night was blocked off the calendar as unavailable.

Too bad....
Just noticed "new" Jack shops on the board for the end of the month. They feature a job fee of $8.00 and offer to let you "keep the change". Will they NEVER learn? There are still lots of Jack jobs on the board for $13-15. <SMH>

I sooooooooooo want to send them an email and ask them to "Buy a Vowel and GET A CLUE" but just deleting them is much easier and I have no desire wasting my time sending something I know they will ignore. I feel very confident in saying they know how much of a "Turkey" this contract is and how badly they miscalculated things but can't do anything about it. Anyone who takes these visits for just $8 needs to quit being a MS because they are beyond clueless.

I don't even know how they get away with calling them tacos.

I actually like their tacos though. It's good every once in a while during a late drunken night at the bars.

I am intrigued about these low paying shops too. I think one just needs to leave them and monitor them as they get close to the deadlines like any other shop to see if they raise the fee.

Yes, I agree the merging of the reimbursement to make the fee look bigger is a bit unethical.

The fact they keep restarting each wave with the low total fee indicates they will try to get as many people to take the lower fee to increase the MSC's profitability before raising the rates.

Maybe that's just the way their contract is set up for this project.... I've had many other shops and projects that paid in a lump sum fee vs. a reimbursement and fee. Are those companies unethical too?

And their cost, the clients, is actually about $1.97 on thst $8 so they will not make a sucker out if me and allow this MSC to have a steak dinner on me.

When the lump sum fee is so low with a required purchase included, I think so as my opinion. This particular shop setup is further unusual as when they raise the lump sum fee it is not listed as a bonus and the system still shows the original lower fee in the entry area by default too (the reimbursement amount is a field in the submission area).

I know $5 or so fee for fast food is not unusual even if that is not my type of job I take. I think it is possible to get this particular job down to a cost of around $2.50 with required items. So, I would rather them advertise an $8 job as $5.50 + $2.50 or something like that.

I actually think the way they phrase the job is one of the reasons why many shoppers are upset.
True about the phrasing. There are other shops that are the same or pay less that have not received as much flack.
Some are up to 15 in my area, but the original offer (and insane number of emails!) was so insulting that I just can't do them now. There are better shops out there, and I don't work for companies that try to give me sub-minimum-wage payment. Ugh!
I picked up a couple with a $15 flat fee...I don't know that I'll eat the burger, but I have to be right down the street, so why not. Their fries are good and they can't wreck iced tea. As for their tacos, I love them! Wish they were offered on this round of shops --- I got into them many years ago in college when we pulled all-nighters at Finals time.
I wonder why, since you don't have to take a picture of the food outside of the wrapper, they don't allow purchasing whatever we want. I would do them at the end of the cycle, like now, when they have the $15 fee if there weren't strict ordering requirements.

As far as eating the food - so what I do a lot. Find some homeless person and give it to them. They will appreciate it more than you will ever know. We may think the food is junk (whatever food we may be talking about) but to them it means everything. I give away at least 75% of all Little Caesars pizzas I do and the look of joy and appreciation i get from them means everything to me. Try this. Sadly - you should have no trouble finding someone to give the food to on a consistent basis
I did 4 of these at a $15 flat fee yesterday and ordered the minimum which was about $3 per location. I gave all the food to homeless and they were happy. Each shop took about 10 minutes and the report took 5 minutes to enter. Yeah it ain't the best food or the best pay but $48 for an hour isn't too bad either.
I received a survey asking me "why" I have not taken any of these shops recently. Maybe they should visit this thread....
I have done that in the past, but I got yelled at and followed by a screaming homeless person a few years ago for giving food and not giving him money. I was so freaked out I haven't done it since. Maybe it was because it was a salad and not pizza?
@spicy1 wrote:

Me too, giving directly to the homeless can be very dangerous

I am 6'1" and 195 pounds. I am not afraid of a homeless person. When I do Little Caesars I give away the pizza 90%+ of the time. One time I saw someone and asked if he wanted the pizza. He said NO but asked for $5 instead. I said NO because I saw he had 3 very large cans of Beer and I said I did not want to give him money when I knew where he would spend it. He never said a word back. I find giving to most homeless is appreciated very much by them so I will continue to do it
Seeing these going down to $7 including $3 minimum spend. I see many other fast food chains routinely start at $4 and people take them. I can't blame the MSCs from handling the situation this way.
$4 plus $9 or more. $7 total is nutz. How many of these have you done for $7? Inspire us.

I now only do them at $15 (which is their max). I did 1 or 2 at $12-$13, but have decided to stick to my $15 min level for these. Unfortunately, people love taking them at $10. Thankfully, I never took any of them below $12.
Last night, I got a personalized email suggesting that I take a specific Jack in the Box shop for $15.... The head-scratcher was that this particular location was a 90 minute drive from home (so the fee would not even cover the gas to make the trip) and there are over 100 such shops closer to me...... I guess it's time to draw up a route...
