So I received an email today about an 8 hour video shopping class that is being held next month in my area. Has anyone ever taken this before? It is supposed to tech about video shopping and give you a list of contacts for schedulers who work with video MSCs. The email did not mention a cost, but I can’t imagine that the class would be free...

There is a cost, if it is VodeoPros. They do classes around the country.

However, if you attend the Atlanta IMSC conference in May you will get THREE days of MS classes, and workshops, including one FULL day of video shopping instruction using the equipment that has the specs required by most video shopping MSCs. AND, most of the serious video MSCs owners and or mangers and schedulers will be at the conference.

The entire 3 days is now being offered at $79.

I have been asked to pull together and moderate the video training day. I am NOT the trainer, lol. I am in the process of recruiting three of the best trainers in the MS video world to do the training. One is a great scheduler who does a lot of training and mentoring of new video shoppers; another has done dozens of video training workshops; the third does other training sessions at IMSC conferences and is a real video MS road warrior who I hope will share some tricks and secrets that make successful video routes work!

This will all include hands-on training with PV-500s. In addition, there will be a sales rep at the earlier 2 days of the conference who will be selling that equipment, so if you want to practice on your own equipment and have not yet bought it, you wlll get a great conference DEAL on that.

Full disclosure: NO I DO NOT know what the deal will be and I DO NOT get a cut and I DO NOT GET PAID or reimbursed for travel or lodging for making conference presentations or moderating. And, I am not an officer of any sort with IMSC. I have been to about 10 IMSC conferences in the past 8 years of its existence and have led workshops at all but one, I think. If you want to network with the top video MSC owners and schedulers and many of the top video shoppers, an IMSC conference is the place to do so.

Thank you for that information. I was looking into the Florida class, they said the cost of the one day class is 149. and a 7-hour drive for me. so I think I'll go with the one in May in Atlanta it's an hour and half away and cheaper hotel and better training for almost half of the money. I would like to find a female to room with at the hotel, (I am a straight female with a man at home). That is if he does not decide to come. idk yet lol

Be sure to tell the IMSC folks that you are looking for a roommate and book a room with 2 beds with that possibility in mind. See you in Atlanta!

I live 20 minutes from West Palm but I’m working at my regular job all day on January 16. If I can get the day off I am going to try and make it to this glass. Video shopping is something that really intimidates me but I know there is lots of opportunity with it.

The IMSC folks are busy planning the May 2018 spring conference in May in Atlanta. You won't see much about the November LV conference until all the planners have recovered from the spring conference! Or were you asking about VideoPros 2018 offerings?

Well, I purchase a set of gear and I have no training. I was just sent the gear and there are no instructions in the box. So, I need to take a class. I'm thinking before November of next year. It's just sitting there in the box. Eventually I will take it out of the box and try and set it up myself. It's very sad really, just sitting on my table with the VR I bought.
