Delivery Truck Audit : Your recent experience

I read through some posts that were a couple years old. The closest one of these to my new place is 0.6 miles. I can't get them to pick up the phone so I'm going to stop in with my letter and ID badge and see when the next truck is. What has been your experience with these?

I think the reason I got the shops was because I applied for a route and I have a valid ServSafe & Food Handlers. You clearly don't need those, but several of them were already "scheduled" for exams by other shoppers and when I made a note I had these qualifications, I was given the entire route provided my first one goes well this week. Which, I am game for since work has me off for 42 days. I could use 7 truck stops if this first goes well.

I have my first one on Thursday. Seems pretty straightforward and they expect a 7 AM truck so I suppose I'll get ready around 6 and have a cup of joe.

You are only allowed one audit per circuit per round. Don't even try to do more, they will take you off the program. The guidelines are not shopper friendly as they do not detail the program properly. Once you have done a shop and they still have others available, they will send out another email. Don't apply, they aren't keeping track, that is your job. You need to know which stops are part of which route which is not on the schedule. BTW, I had a truck show up 1 1/2 hours early and one was over two hours late. Be on your toes. You have been warned :-)

The first one is located just a few minutes from me, and then a second one is showing up to schedule for next cycle. I have a total of 7 possibilities. I hope tomorrows goes well. They expect 8 AM to 10 AM with last week being 9:34 AM so we shall see... :/

The first one went great! They expected the truck at 9:30 so I got there around 8:30. The truck showed up just before 9 AM so really good timing. All temps were within the range and the driver was super friendly and helpful. The manager was also helpful and worked with me. I was able to get out in under an hour. I know they won't all go that well, but 6 of my 7 possible stops have the same driver so hopefully he continues to be thorough and prepared.

If it's the same driver, see if he'll exchange phone numbers with you. If he's doing everything right, it's to his benefit as well as yours.
