Credit card shop didn't go as planned...

I signed up to do a credit card shop at an airport, and was instructed to submit all of my information to the MSC prior to performing the shop so that they could block my application from being processed. After performing the shop, I received multiple emails from the credit card company and thought it was just part of the process. It wasn't until I received an email from the credit card company with the last 5 digits of my account that I realized my application actually went through, and it didn't get blocked like it should have. As soon as I realized what happened, I emailed the MSC and was instructed not to activate the card and to forward all emails from the credit card company to them. I was assured that it would all be "fixed". It's been over two weeks, and I haven't heard any updates from the MSC, despite following up with them. Nothing's changed on my credit report, and I'm still receiving emails from the credit card company reminding me to activate the card. The shop paid $30, which I felt was decent for the amount of time it took to perform the shop and submit the report, but not adequate for a shop requiring someone to actually open an account.

Has anybody been in this situation before? What did you do, and what was the end result? Does anybody have any suggestions of how I should proceed with this?

I had something similar happen twice (different MSCs)-- once unknown reason and one I put an extra space in when I completed the application. (I know my info was blocked, as I've done these shops before and never had an issue before or afterward). I knew something was up as it said "accepted" on the screen instead of "pending credit check" About a week later, I started receiving letters and the actual card itself came as well. I believe it took the MSC a few weeks to get it straightened out. (They and the client wanted to figure out why the application went through)

The inquiry and card were removed from my credit report with no problem.
Hi Kevin! Thanks for the response! I'm glad they were able to figure it out, and I feel bit better knowing that someone else has experienced this before. I'll give them a few more weeks before I start pushing a little harder for answers if I don't see any response from them.
