Lying staff members

@Irene_L.A.

Part of the issue is that you are not actually looking at the addresses of the locations, but at the zip code used as center of a search radius. You are absolutely correct: I do not know one zip code from another in L.A. However, I would strongly suggest that there is no zip code in L.A. where every location withing your stated 30-mile radius is a death zone. Beyond that, if you had bothered to check, you would have noticed that precisely ZERO of those shops were actually inside said zip code - the closest was ten miles away.

To beat all, you doubled down after I gave the same parameters to a Beverly Hills zip code. You say that where you work, you don't get bonus... However, looking at the EPMS site, the same one I have been referencing all along, EVERY apartment shop (save 2) within 250 miles of the 90001 zip code has a bonus on it. Most of those bonuses are $20. I have no idea where in L.A. you are, but I can read a map well enough to be certain that it is within 250 miles of 90001.

Irene, I have no problem when somebody disagrees with me. However, I do object to being accused of lying - which you have done a couple of times. I am amazed that you can be so confident about your local area that you can refute, without any attempt to crosscheck your facts, what the MSC's are advertising plainly. It's on EPMS, everybody on this board can look it up and see exactly what I am seeing in a matter of seconds. I don't get why you are so insistent.

This is taken out of context with what was said in another post. I realize many need this to make a living, that's fine, whatever works, but to give such poor recommendations is not o.k. not at the expense of one's life. I took it personally and as very bad advice, that's all. We here where I and two others work know we don't get bonused.

Irene stay safe and don't be pressured to go to some rough hole area for a few dollars. It is not worth the risk.
Nobody suggested she go anywhere for a few dollars or a few hundred dollars. There is no need to try to stir the pot.

Take your own advice. And festive greetings to you.
You gotta love the equivalent of, "I know you are, but what am I?"

Stop being so uptight. Life is too short. At least try to enjoy Christmas and the New Year.
Christmas is over, LOL. Looking forward to the new year though. Other than this damn cold weather!!!!
FYI: Christmas isn't over till the Christmas decorations are down. And the Christmas food is finished!!
How was your holiday JAS?

I had a good one, thanks Lisa.

Catnap, some people never take down their decorations. That doesn't make them particularly amicable or festive, however. Some people are just lazy. There is someone in my neighborhood who still has up some decorations from a few years ago...and judging from the upkeep of the rest of their properly, I would say that they fall into this category. And, we still have zucchini bread from my MIL in the freezer from last year. Guess it's time to throw out the old and bring in the new. Except the homemade Limoncello she gave us, I think that can stay, LOL.

Not over for everyone. We have friends who have always celebrated the 12 days of Christmas Their kids get a gift each day through Jan 5.

We usually leave our decorations up until the end of January. Judging from how much food we have left over, it should be about the same time the frig begins to have room!

Yup. To each their own. I never decorate anymore since the kids grew up and moved out, so I don't have to worry about that!

I generally have leftovers in my frig, doesn't matter what time of year it is...but, out with the old, in with the new in that respect as well.

In with the new...where will I go on my next vacation? Probably Mexico again. That doesn't seem to ever get boring.
I do not remember having a shop rejected because of lying but it has come close. I may be about to be re-shopped because the associate did not do what they mystery shopping expected him to do. My shop was re-offered at triple the pay. Also, the fact that the shopping instructions were wrong and questions asked on the questionaire were not covered in the shop instructions did not really make much difference.
In the Roman Catholic church the Christmas season doesn't START until Christmas Day. It goes for 12 days, and ends on Epiphany (when the Magi made their visit). When I was a kid my parents called it "Little Christmas" and left everything up until that time.

I personally don't consider a 20.00 bonus a "big" bonus compared to Steve, Mickey and the other big players on the forum. Living a thousand miles away, makes me ask why you seem so obsessed over what I make, i'm free to say whatever, and KNOW what I make and if I want to drive the distance for 20.00 without someone challenging me . Not enough money since I am partially retired, since you have read so much about me, you must know that.

I printed your zip? I have no idea what your zip is. If I typed your zip code in a post, It was by pure happenstance. I do remember looking for shops in a couple of Beverly Hills zip codes. I figured those would qualify as "safe" areas.

I could care less what you make. You accused me of lying. I defended my statement by pointing out that what MSC's had on their job boards directly contradicted your accusation.

I don't consider $20 "big." However, you had said there were NO bonuses. $20 is a decent bonus on a $40 shop.

You can say what you want. However, if you accuse somebody of lying, that person just might argue back.

Lets agree to disagree, i never follow you, and plan to limit discussions, but luck to you in Beverly Hlls.

.
The company when I was doing my high end retail in Beverly Hills and got nice bonus's are no longer (before you came to forum), as the owner committed suicide and the company folded....those clients are no longer using our service the way they used to..what i said ages ago is no longer, not fair to quote old posts as things change.
Not answering above post, but when stated I made bonus, not that I have to defend myself, but feel like I do.
p.s. I don't work for Ellis, never have, never will.

That's fine. When this disagreement started, I was giving information to a new shopper who wanted to know about possibilities. I told him/her about possibilities, which did include Ellis.
