make me an offer....

I have shopped a specific grocery store several times. Today, I noticed on their website "make me an offer" for dates starting today and moving forward three days. The shop fee was lower than it had been advertised in the past. Their shop fee was five dollars and for one I requested fifteen and for another, I requested twelve dollars. Both were declined. This is new for me. Can anyone tell me whether I requested an excessive amount? How do shoppers usually determine what is a fair price to request?

Did the shop stay on the board after your offer was declined? If so, your bid was outside their parameters. If the shop disappeared from the board, after your office was declined, an offer lower than yours, was made and accepted.

Your offer was not excessive, at least not in my area. Your area may differ, based on competition. Watch the board, to get a feel for what the going rate is for MAOs, or what the "changed fee" climbs to.
Your offer is not excessive it if is what you are willing to take in exchange for the work. Everybody and every location has a different standard for each job. There are jobs that I would do for $30 that others might not do for $100 - and vice versa.

I approach the "Make an Offer" like this: I first ask if I would do the job at the advertised compensation. If so, I make an offer for what the highest amount I think I have a chance of getting. If it's declined, I'll grab the job at the advertised amount. If I would not do it at the advertised price, I think about what the minimum price would be for me to feel good about doing the job (based on my needs, local market, etc.).

Overall, the "Make and Offer" option is a tool that gives the MSC a huge advantage in negotiations. I don't spend too much time fretting over it - there are companies that offer good opportunities.

I have had many time when I have Made and offer and it sat on the board past the due date then given to me at the offered amount a couple of days later.
sometimes if the job keeps sitting on the board, (I guess the automated system could not accept it), I have sent an email and told them I made an offer and it's still sitting there (especially if the due date is approaching) you can write them and get a human override.
The MSC also seems to have seriously cut back on a lot of the accepted offer rates, at least here. My first accepted Make an offer was for a wireless back in the early spring. I offered 75, for two reasons: 1. just to see how it worked and 2. because the shop was about 20 miles out of my area with no other shops I could find out there, I wasn't going to just do it cheap.
I really didn't think it's be accepted, but it was.
Same location popped up on the Make an offer boards a few weeks ago.I offered $40 (I had several other shops scheduled that way this time) and it actually did tell me it was declined. Same company attwo other closer locations I offered $30, and both were declined. Then thy upped the fee to pretty much close to 30 anyway,.
You charge 75 for going 20 miles? wow. I've been letting them off cheap. I was afraid to ask for more than 25 for 37-47 miles. There are several shops outside my range that I don't really want to drive for an hour each way, but I need the money.

The most I have ever been approved for from "make an offer" has been $60 and the shop was 40 miles away. I just offered $100 for one that has been sitting on the board and it's 55 miles away. Im hoping they take me up on it!

Let us know if you get it.

Good Luck!
The best way to do this, with this company, is to find a couple that are in the same area or on the way and a few in your area and then call the scheduler and make a deal for them all; that's the way to get the big piece of chicken with this msc.
how do you find out the scheduler for teams other than ff? when I call I'm only offered movies theaters or ff
teams.there tax audit teams and hardware, and grocery and furniture rental in my area. I did an easy furn for over double and a jewelry for 3x the original price by going an hour away tagged with an apartment for ACL for 60 and a grocery with a bonus for ts made me an easy hundred and a quarter day. but I can only get these big days once or twice a money up until those particular days I'm just nickel and diming mostly. It's tough to top a k each month.

With how many companies have you signed up? It can be hard to do over $1,000 in a month with most companies. However, if you are registered with 100 companies, picking the ten that serve your needs best should allow you to be reasonably profitable. $100/mo. with each of ten companies is very attainable.

I've lost count but I 'd say well over 50. I"ve discontinued all ff shops because my other half is laid off and I'm only doing the ones who can pay me a fee with no investment (other than a few grocery stores-which I'd have to buy soap and tp anyway) Meritz cx might be difficult to maintain I've had problems with both of the shops I've done for them. I recently added a bunch and don't have all of them consolidated yet.and I even did one for fun sort of for cirrus a house photoshop for 30. I know it will take 3 months to get paid. But I did it for multiple reasons anyway.
What types of shops do you find you do best?

I don't know how many there are on isecret and gig spot without counting. but I have both of them maxed all agreements signed.I added GFK, technology, merc, second to none, pinnacle, and kinesis to name the ones I can find offhand,
But... Do you like banks? Car sales? Apartments? etc.

well, the problem is narratives take me hours to input, but I enjoyed the one for Cirrus because they wanted the thoughts of a prospective buyer. Go Spot Check are kind of my fav's in a sense but they don't pay much. grocery shops, MarketForce are easy for me now so they don't take long. isecrets are fairly easy as well but I need dollars too not just fun. If I schedule a heavy narrative I have to go light afterward so I can get it input. Alta360's are easy now as well but this month it's a waiting game for them to be bonused. (I'm still waiting).
yes I do car shops, apartments and banks too
got a new banking one with a new marketer on the first of Feb. and a new car one on Sat. for technology store
