Tax Prep Audits?

One of my MSCs is offering revealed tax prep storefront audits. Two are conveniently located right next to or in stores I'm going to shop so the $10 fee would be fine EXCEPT it says photos are required and the audit could take between 15-40 minutes. $10 for 15 minutes is fine. For 40, not so much. Can anyone give me your real experience as to how long it has taken you and what the report looks like? TIA

It actually depends on how big the retail store is. One can be in and out before the 15 minutes are up. So if you are still there near the 40 minute mark, you have done something wrong. or the MOD is not there and you need to wait for them to return.
Btw, most of them are storefronts. Have ID on you just in case they asked to see it.

I usually do a few of these every year, and have 3 scheduled for the week after next. I have always found them easy, and even with the picture taking, have never taken more than 20 minutes on site, often less. Two are going to be in the well-known super center stores, and one in a storefront. I remember last year, I went to the location in the dept store, and the table was set up with the large blue curtains, but nothing else! I took pixs, had a front end mgr sign off for me, turned it in, and got paid. Guess they just had not gotten that particular location ready in time, because about 2 weeks later, the location came open again, I got it, and when I went, the tax table was all set up.
Mod note: Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.
Just curious if you shopped your tax stores yet? I am doing 5 next week, and the paperwork is still confusing to me. Hopefully, I can get someone to answer today at Marketforce. I would much rather speak with someone than send an e-mail, especially when it is something new like an audit.

Thank you for any info. you can give me.
Maude, could you please remove the MSC's name and/or the clients name from your post. We can not name both in a thread.
I have not done any this year, but I have done them the last several years. My price point for doing them is $25, however, I have done them for $20. They are not bad. I take a clip board with the print out of the questions/observations and go through them one by one. I was lucky enough to have very friendly associates that were there at the time. Sometimes you have to wait for a supervisor/manager to get back from break or lunch, that is the only wait time I have had.
I was gone for awhile and came back to do it. Thank you for removing it. I am sorry about that. I did not know.
I did one yesterday. I suggest going early so there is less chance of customers being there. Most of my time was spent finding 2 extra employees to ask the location. The picture taking was easy. I had my printout on a clipboard and just zip through no problem. Good luck.
