My first bad Latex glove wearing burger shop.

I was called today for a bonused shop that needed to be done late night tonight. I was not doing anything and it was close to home so I agreed. I have always had great service and incredible food at the burger and fries place. I had to arrive 15-30 minutes before they close, this was my first time doing the late night shop. They did not seem happy at all when I entered. My burger patty was dry and overcooked. It was crumbling apart as I ate and was crunchy.
Thankfully the fries were ok. I did not eat much at dinner because I wanted to have room for a delicious late night snack!
So disappointing!

I have done the hedgehog late like that on purpose so I would supposedly get fresh burger patties. It is a crap shoot at best.
Also, has anyone noticed that the "latex" gloves they are always asking about are actually vinyl? In every store I have visited (over a dozen) I have never seen a latex glove.

Out of curiosity, do you report this in your shops? It’s likely that the majority of people do not know the difference between latex and vinyl gloves, and the people behind the projects only care about seeing synthetic rubber gloves, in general.

The purpose of these late night shops is to see if customers get a quality product during ALL open hours.

I had a son that worked at a hedgehog restaurant. He told me that when someone came in after they'd already cleaned the griddle for the night they cooked the hamburger patty in the deep fryer.

When I worked in a restaurant during high school many many decades ago they would sometimes drop a half pound ground beef steak in the deep fryer. Was sort of OK unless it was frozen. Ice in hot oil.

I wonder how many people have allergies to latex and how they found out.

Does it matter what kind of glove as long as they change them? I'll say this for the chain, they are fastidious about the glove changing. In all the shops I've done for them, I only once encountered a sketchy patty situation. It makes me cringe at how questionable some other burger joints are, or how it looks like places are trying to save money on their glove use.
Real question: How do you get close enough to read the box to see if the gloves are vinyl or Latex? I've only reported "gloves" without the adjective on other, similar shops. I've never done this particular one, apparently.
For my locations, the glove boxes are behind a clear glass window, up by the counter, so they are very easy to see.
