Building a Route with Hotel Shop

I've done a few routes within 20 miles of home, and I'm putting together my first overnight plan. Ideally, I'll have a hotel shop at the beginning of the trip. I know I won't have time at the hotel to do much of anything except the hotel shop, but how long should I wait for my hotel shop to be accepted? It's been more than a week. Thanks!

I'd email the scheduler and explain that you are planning a route and need to know. If I didn't hear back within another day, I'd start applying to other hotels, if you can.

If you don't need to stay at the hotel and and are just looking to make a profit, you can stay in a simple location, pay out of pocket, and use the time that you'd spend dealing with the hotel report doing other shops in the vicinity.

What MSC is the hotel with? Have you worked or done a hotel with them before ?

Another option might be to use an AirBnB for an overnight. Be sure to read the reviews before booking, and find out if there is a good computer work space... chair, lamp desk/table and easy to reach electrical outlet.

If it's Coyle and you have never done a hotel for them, you may not get accepted. Often they only assign phone and restaurant shops to new shoppers and will not assign hotels until you have done several other types of shops for them. You would have better luck with Regal (usually self-assign), ACL, or another MSC.
