Panda Express?

I don't think they will close, they went as far as putting the SB green logo on top of the Ralphs sign on the bldg.
We have ONE Peets in town, and their coffee is so much better....advertising pays.

LOL they don't start until February. I like to research well-ahead whenever possible. I actually didn't know they were February shops when I posted originally, I thought at least one of them was a January shop.

It is TIME that Panda Express increased their compensation from $9 to $11. A plate (2 NON prime entrees) and an egg roll is now almost $11 with tax-- they raised the prices recently. And that is with no drink too. The egg roll recently went from $1.50 to $1.95 and the plate went up too.

The required order of 2-items and the addition of a small beverage is $9.81 (with tax in my area.) A drink is not required, but I think you are required to ask for one if it is not offered. As always, if the client can get away with paying less, that's what it will do. I wait for a bonused shop. I see the 5 Guys increased its reimbursement slightly. It covers the required purchase if one gets a "small" everything.

Panda instructions say you MAY order a drink if it is not suggested. It is not required. However other items, such as egg rolls cannot be ordered if they are not suggested. I hate shops that say you cannot order an extra item if it is not suggested, even if the reimbursement would cover all or some of it. Why is the shopper penalized if the cashier doesn’t do their job properly? Also this policy can skew the report results as some shoppers (of course not shoppers on this forum!) may incorrectly report on the cashier’s suggestions in order to get the full reimbursement.

Sorry, I did not make my point clear. Most people get a beverage with a meal. To do so takes the total over the reimbursement. Generally, reimbursements include the price of a small beverage but not with Panda.

The 2 plate here is now $7.30 and the egg roll is $1.95 = $10.49 with tax for me. That is with NO drink and NO prime entrees.
I like the food for this shop, and have done a few over the years at a rest stop location. The reimbursement used to cover a drink, the last time I did one I took my own bottle of water with me to remain within the amount.

I'd be pleased if the company increased the reimbursement for Panda, but so far the only requirements are two entrees and a side order. The reimbursement does cover the required items. I never order a drink at any fast food unless I am required to do so, drinking water instead. I'd rather spend my money and calories on real food. I do like a third entree, which means when I order 3 entrees and a side item I am out of pocket. In my area, 3 entrees (or 2 entrees with egg roll) and side order runs $9.53, bit if I order only the required items, I am well below the reimbursement.
I completed a panda about a week or so ago and it was sooo bad! And i love panda express.
You can have them correct anything, especially if the food is bad trade for something else or ask for fresh. The food is basically all we get, so get it good.

The Panda Passion iced tea is yummy and calorie-free.I often get water even when not on a shop. The point was the reimbursement doesn't cover a regular meal and a small beverage. Most regular diners get a beverage.
