I think you misunderstood my point. I know the workshops were held in person.
One poster asked how information from a 2008 blog would apply to social media postings and another defended their position based on something Cathy said at a workshop in 2005. I feel relatively assured that nobody could have possibly imagined in 2008, much less 2005, the role that social media might currently have in our lives and the MS industry.
Facebook was in it's infancy back then (went online 2004). The iPhone was released in 2007. I joined this forum in 2008 and it looks like my earliest post on volition was around 2005, so these forums were the only means of sharing information online about MSing back then, and they were somewhat protected by requiring membership. Now, anything you post on mainstream social media sites may literally be seen by the majority of the world in seconds. There is a need for policies and agreements to be updated.
The agreement I posted prohibits sharing ANY data outside of what is required to complete the assignment. If you gleaned data about a particular establishment being shopped from the MSC you work for, then that information (data) would be protected.
That said, there are many companies that I don't work for and therefore don't have an agreement with. I can discuss the issues with Ikea shops as much as I wish, since the majority of information I have about them came form this forum, and is subject only to the forum guidelines.
