New Applebee's Shops

The shops for February have been posted. It looks like select locations this time.

What are you going to order? I know I'm staying away from the burgers!

I must not know who does these. I mean I thought I did. But I just logged in to look and nada. Checked the DC area states as well and nada.

I did one but it was to purchase a cocktail. Didn’t see any dinner shops. The riblet basket is pretty good.
I expanded my search radius and saw quite a few listed in the PNW. None in my area of Socal.
The shop is under two different Company names Apple American as well as Rose. They are curbside pick up.

I have sone this shop before, but completely forgot the company... Duh! Now I am craving riblets :/
I have done the curbside and bar shop. Love them both. None are posted in my area yet. Hopefully soon.

I have one this week and just applied for February shops. For the current one, I can order whatever entree I want. December's guidelines had a list of entrees to choose from. Curb side again.
I didn't know the shops were around in January.

Honny, I order the 2 for and get the riblets plus some chicken plate. Have done them 2 months in a row and have seen a slight improvement in service from the 1st to the 2nd, so the mystery shopping program must be working. I usually have riblets left over and heat them up in the oven the next day. They taste better to me on the 2nd day.
The rotation is longer on mine this time. I'll have to wait at least a month to do my local store.
Picked up 4 shops that are close to my home. It seems that there are more locations this time around then in January. The location that I shopped in January wasn't even on the list this time.
What exactly is curbside pick up? Do they come out to your car? Or is this just a take out shop? I'm asking because I don't have a car.
Yes, you have to have a car. You pull up outside of the restaurant in a designated parking space and they bring your food out.
No, you don't have to have a car. I asked the scheduler last time I was assigned a curbside/take-out shop, and she told me it was my choice. I did my shop as a take-out and got a perfect grade.

Oh, that's good to know that in some areas it can be done either way. In my area they are all curbside ToGo shops.
Goodnight, they are only in the travel areas of my area AGAIN. Trust me, I know the second they hit and I'm there. I'm going to call them and ask them if they are assigning their shops to a designated shopper in my area. If they are, good luck getting someone to do the travel ones this time!!!!!!!!!!!
They clearly know they are being shopped. I barely backed my car in the To Go parking space, and the employee came running out of the building carrying my bag. She did her thing so fast, I'm not sure I put my car into park. The whole scenario was less than a minute. I drove out of the parking lot laughing. Faster than McDonald's!
They need to be told, or reminded, that when they are answering the phone (and saying their name) that they need to speak clearly and concisely or slower so that customers can understand what they are saying. I had to ask for one employees name three times to get her to say it clearly. By the time I got there to pick up my order she was asking me why I asked for her name. I told her my daughter was pregnant and we were looking for names. Geeze and holy cow. When she answered the phone, this is what she said "Helbothanks for @#$applegeeze thisis jj;arjwe ; whacnaIdo foryou?

That’s part of the purpose of the mystery shop and goes in the report. I agree though and I have heard this on many of my phone calls for pick up orders at other clients as well. My first response is to say, “I’m sorry, what did you say?” Usually they then repeat their opening more clearly. If not, I ask for their name at the end of the call which is a reasonable request in case there is a problem with the order at the pick up.
New shops are posted and they are self assign!

I hope no one had an Applebee's shop scheduled in Independence, Missouri at the Independence Center shopping mall. After racial-profiling two customers, three Applebee's employees were fired and that Applebee's location is temporarily being closed.

Maybe the shopper for the Independence, MO location shopped the Bee's the night that the real dining n' dashing duo were at the store?
Earlier today I self-assigned a Curbside pick up for later in the month. When I first looked at the instructions, there were specific entrée requirements. When I went back an hour later, the specific entrees were no longer there. After thinking I was truly losing it, I called the MSC...yes, they changed the ordering instructions (to no specific entrees) in that hour interim time! Yay...no specifics and I'm not crazy!
They had no indication that there was racial profiling. I wonder why these diners jumped to that conclusion? I live in a State where sometimes I can't tell the race of a person yet 5 Guys wants me to report that information. I feel like a real pos sometimes when I'm trying to figure it out and I stare at them.
