The End of another day and I still haven't tried these shops.....

Aw, I have to delete the email for the boxing class because there's no way I can conceive of taking that class, although I'm very interested in self-defense, I don't think I would look like I'm supposed to be taking it.

Also, although I love to thrift shop, I've never been able to find anything I've actually wanted to purchase at Goodwill, so I'll have to delete that email.

I feel so honored to receive the email from DSG about the high-end shops and there are some pieces I've been looking at but don't know enough about and this would be perfect for me. However, I've been taking shops that I set my timer for 15 minutes and I don't delay a second more than that. I would have to slow down tremendously to be fully absorbed in that personality and I don't think I can do it right now. Maybe this Spring.

Are there shops you've been eyeing, maybe throughout the years, but haven't done for one reason or another?

I've only done one Goodwill shop so far, but I definitely concentrated on buying books with my 5 dollar allotment.
There are definitely shops that I wish I could do, but time constraints of working a full time job during the day, and not having time to drive to/from is a hindrance. I've often seen interesting shops around the Boston area, but I think getting there would be more trouble then those shops are worth. I sometimes do drive a few hours in different directions, but I much prefer driving into the country then driving to the big city.
Sorry GG no one can answer that question without violating the rules.

The really high end vehicle shops (alpha romeo and lamborghini). Biggest problem is I'd have to figure out where to get the right kind of car to drive there.

I love my Goodwill shops. Some of the things that I've paid less than 50 cents after reimbursement are as follows:
Laptop case, brand new, original price tags and info on it. My Dad begged and I finally allowed him to take it.
Brand new work shirt from LL Bean, original price tag still on it. Love if for when the weather in TX is 32 in the morning and 87 in the afternoon.
Multiple designer brands of Polo shirts, priced less than $5 each. When they are stained, work great for garden. When no longer wearable, perfect cleaning cloths.
Replacement carafe for coffee maker, replacement lids for various crockpots, getting over the top fabulous deals on cast iron cookware (sometimes they cost $$ for those gems), coffee mugs that if forget them in a hotel room (5 count for around 65 cents)

Goodwill shops cannot be beat. A good store has something there for anyone. I will admit the reports get me flummoxed.

I had to pass up a Pearson Testing because it needs to be done in 10 days and I'm booked solid. Next time, for sure!
I used to the the Goodwill shops but on a post last august, I heard that they will no longer be shopped.
I really enjoyed them adn was able to get glasses , platters and other really nice and nearly new platters. But have not seen them in my area since last February in my area,

What company offers Goodwill shops?

I have seen these shops with two MSCs. Each company requested different information in a different format. Nice work if you can get it!

I didn't know DSG actually had shops. Never worked for them. Can click on any state in the country, click on every city listed, and all I get is "You are not available for any of the visits in the cities you chose"

Asked them about it, all I got was "maybe you're not eligible for any shops in your area"

Uh. I tried the whole country. Several times.

They are one of the companies that send an email only, or primarily maybe. They have annual income requirements etc.
How can you not look like you belong in a self defense class?

The secret to shopping at Goodwill is to not look for specific items. I got a pair of Burberry slacks that way.

Are these shops fun?
time consuming
no access to cell phone during test
MUST flunk

I haven't tried the Pearson. Because of the pay to time ratio I haven't made it a priority. I'd have to earn less than I do now to take those. Or, I would need to be in need of an awake-nap since I'd have to flunk it on purpose.
I love Four Seasons brunch, am watching for that one either in Beverly Hills or Santa Barbara right on the water.
Amazing hotel....I can pretend can't I?

I've been watching a city tour bus shop that looks intriguing. I haven't taken it yet due partly to the colder weather and partly because I fear the report to be a narrative nightmare.

I have also wanted to do a Brazilian steakhouse shop, but have not taken the plunge yet because of distance and again -- heavy on the narrative.

There are other shops that look appealing each month, but I just don't have the time to do them all unfortunately.

Don’t you also have to cheat?

Why repeat my comment AnneAshley?
I added a line at the bottom asking if it was required to cheat on the shop.
I wouldn't mind the Pearson testing shop but I am 50, I think that might be odd to go into the college and take the test, and fail it no less.
Hi. We appreciate you showing interest in these shops. Just let us know when you can possibly start working as mystery shopper. These visits are available on a monthly basis so you can probably plan ahead.

I'm one of employees of DSG Associates. I'm trying to check if I can be of help with the shopper.

One of the tests I took was a dental exam, where they showed x-rays of teeth and I had to identify each tooth by it's name using dental terminology and which side of the mouth it was on. It was pretty easy for me to fail. I could have passed if it had been x-rays of a human skeleton.

Another test I took was for food safety, and I passed it. They did not reject the shop.

Megan, schedulers, editors, and other MSC reps usually put their full name, title, and the name of the MSC in their tagline. I don't know if it is some sort of forum rule or not, but it appears to be customary.

Lucky you! I always get assigned the same test-something to do with property management.

I don't think I would do any shop that requires a drug test or background check. Seems like overkill based on the pay rate.
I have been trying to squeeze in some ACL dining shops. I just haven't made the time. I'm a little concerned about how long the report will take.

I've also been waiting on doing an EPMS apartment shop. I've gotten comfortable with what works for me. I need to venture out a bit.
There is a Huddle House near me that has a bonus. I have never been there before. I guess you can get breakfast or lunch. It looks like it is mostly pictures but I am sure it is more. It might be someplace to take my son and grandson.
