Shoppers, what would you like to see shopped? (MSCs, here's a free potential client list for you!)

My stepdaughter worked at Red Lobster for about 2 weeks and she quit, saying it had the dirtiest kitchen...this was about 6 years after hubby and I had shopped it. We didn't like the food anyway but after finding out that they had unsanitary practices going on in the kitchen, no way would we ever eat there again. But that's something mystery shopping can't fix. You can evaluate the food and service, but you don't know what's going on behind the scenes...

Olive Garden here is not great but it's not horrible. I'd give RL a 2 and OG a 6.

Golden Corral used to get shopped but it's been about 10 years or so. I don't enjoy doing buffets, too many people touching those spoons and kids leaning over the food (sneezeguards are no help with people under 4'6"winking smiley, gross, not to mention it's too much food.
Babies R Us is closing, all Toys and Babies stores are liquidating. And Babies has not been shopped on a regular basis in a long time (only some of their 'events' were shopped). All stores will be closed by early July.
Most of the regular grocery stores in my area have it too.

athletic apparel reimbursements (hello Nike? New Balance?).

Most are. I haven't seen Nike but I've done 6 New Balance shops this year and have seen Under Armour and ASIC. Unfortunately they rarely are reimbursement shops. New Balance has a $10 reimbursement but I always talk them into a significant bonus and just kind of look at it as a total fee, I think the UA were $20 with no fee, and the ASIC are purchase/return shops.

I used to shop New Balance about 5 years ago, I don’t live in the area any longer. There was $30 reimbursement, don’t remember the pay.
I know that Adidas does shops internationally but don’t see any in US

This is just an opinion piece... there was one company who attempted to purchase before liquidation started and is still trying to gather investors. Can't remember the guys name but he is the creator of LOL dolls.

I have never seen these. Must be the other 50 MSCs I’m not signed up with!

Yep I saw the liquidation sign in my area.
Or follow the cheesey garlic biscuit recipe on the Bisquik box and add a can or two of lump crab meat.

If you love Red Lobster for the Cheese Bread you can buy the mix at Costco! Not sure they still have it as I bought it at a clearance price. Why spend all that money or ms time on eating the fish if it is not that great if all you really want is the bread! Eat your fish elsewhere.

I would like an MSC to shop my local coffee shop. I’d also like a $25 fee, reimbursement up to $10 (they have great breakfast burritos!), no rotation, shops for everyday, and no narratives. In fact, just one yes/no question would be great. Oh, and daily pay and only offer this shop to me!
Olive Garden gets shopped in my town a couple of times of year. It pays well, covers appetizer or dessert, two entrees, and two alcoholic beverages per person.
I like the OG takeout shops the best. Take photos and write a few short paragraphs...nice reimbursement for minimal work.
OG = Olive Garden. Can't tell you who shops it, since OG is the Client, and can't name Client and MSC in same post.
Actually mystery shopping CAN fix the back kitchen, it is simply done in an audit. There have been audit shops in my area, different clients not Red Lobster, where the kitchen was inspected for cleanliness. I am sure it was not a deep inspection like is required by law, but it was a surprise inspection that could detect lazy general cleaning habits. There are a couple shops that I do where the clients have open kitchens that are viewed on the way to the restroom. Questions on the reports ask whether or not the kitchen looked clean, things such as kitchen counters, the floor and even the food pantry. The only thing I've never been asked about was the freezer. My point is that it appears RL could benefit from such a shop. I know I'd like to think the kitchen at my local RL is clean as the service is good, the food is good, and we like going there. MSC are you LISTENING??? I WANT A RL SHOP smiling smiley lol

I would actually like to see Chik-a-Fila shopped. I'm pretty sure that they are, yet this is the one fast food place that I would LOVE to get food reimbursed with.
Me too! From what I understand they have an internal program. A good friend of mine is the executive chef for a major university. He normally does the president's dinners and caters the suites at the football games but technically he is over all of the food on campus, which includes the student union, which includes......a Chick-Fil-a. According to him they have an internal program. But, I have heard a few people say they have shopped them (I believe @HonnyBrown said it just the other day). I don't know if it's a new thing, or if it's just this location or what. I know it's not some big franchise thing like some fast food programs are because CFA RARELY gives multi unit franchises. There are a few but not many and none of them have large numbers of stores.

My cousin and her husband own a Chik-fil-A in Texas and are getting ready to open a second one. They don't have and never have had a shopping program, and doubt they ever will. Pretty sure that would be up to the franchisee or a competitor.

Hi spicy, I have seen Walmart shopped through an app. I haven't done it, but the app had to post videos with tips on how to do the shop. It seems easy, but then some photo requirements are weird and then you have to interact with 4 different people, including the Manager. It starts with a really low, low pay, and then increases after several days.
Walmart isn't shopped. They could not care less about their employee's attitudes, they are just oh so very grateful to have them show up to work.
