Yesterday I attempted a shop where you upgrade/purchase a new cell phone. I have done these before when someone in my family needed to upgrade with no issues. Yesterday's attempt was for my teenage daughter (new phone for her birthday). We were assisted immediately and I thought, "This is GREAT! This is MY DAY!" WRONG! We were there for almost 2 hours. I paid $33.25 to trade in her phone and that is where the nightmare began. The sales associate attempted to use his tablet to compete the sale and was not able! What? Three calls to tech support and he informed me that since I bundled my internet and cable with this same company that I would need to go online! I asked to speak to a manager and was told the same thing. The store could not complete the sale due to some glitch in their new system. I wanted to say, "um...you don't understand...I MUST do this here!" Instead, I tried to play the dumb blond role and told them that I get confused with internet purchases and would rather they help me in store. I asked if they could help me log on and complete the purchase and print out my receipt. THEY REFUSED! I left very frustrated and reported what happened. I obtained both the associate's and the managers card and I have a receipt for $33.25 for my upgrade (they have since refunded my money). Do you think I will be paid? I hope the Force is with me on this!!!!
