Proving Income

How should I go about proving MS income? I am wanting to rent an apartment soon and this is my main source of income for now. Should I start using accounting software such as Quickbooks?

The apartment community will have several ways to verify your income... One frequently used around here is to ask that you turn in bank statements.

Tax returns are also acceptable proof for ICs.

Bank statements, copies of checks, PayPal statements are acceptable if you earn under the IRS amount for a 1099.
