Yes I scored a trifecta. I managed to be assigned a breakfast, dinner and stay in the same hotel. Food was great.
Accepted an assignment to attend a church service on a National campaign day. Normally I would have never chosen to attend this particular church, but I was very pleased. It was different, the people were so hospitable and they served AMAZING good afterward.
Mine was free coffee beans that will last me a year! It was to verify that they were in stock. I got a free 20 pounds. Yay!

Lol I’ve been drinking Aeropressed coffee everyday for the past couple of months. It still hasn’t made a dent in my coffee bean stash.

Add to the fact that my Hario coffee bean hand grinder and Aeropress were both purchased within reimbursements thanks to mystery shops! grinning smiley

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
Mine too was my first hotel shop. It was in my early days, and basically it was a rebranding shop (Hotel had just switched brands and the new chain was making sure the old branding was removed, and a normal room up to par).
I was excited mainly because the hotel was about 20 minutes from my parents house, so it gave me an opportunity to visit them and keep my distance.
Then it rained my entire stay.

Actually, they do.
Every time you post, there's a little box that pops up that reads: "Posting Guidelines: Be honest. Add a positive contribution to the community. You are responsible for all the content of your post. Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies. We're in this together. And most importantly: Have fun!”
You'll find similar non-disclosure items in almost every ICA.
How is it not?

She is not being stingy. Revealing the MSC and client is a big NO on this forum. How do you see otherwise?

I like drug testing - it is easy, pays ok, survey is very easy and I know I will pass every time.

As far as I know those tests are never done, so it makes no difference if one passes or fails. I guess you were joking!

I've done a few of them. I haven't seen them in my area for awhile. I was surprised how many of the employees did not take my purse or check my pockets before I gave them the sample! They failed! smiling smiley

@SoCalMama Well, it sounds just like something I did in NYC that went through a MSC, but not through the boards. I do really hope it comes back.

I did shops like that in NYC too, about 3 years ago, I think. They were testing cards at a bunch of retail/food establishments. I didn't get to keep the purchases but I got to eat the food! It was great! I would love to see something like them come along again. They were not on the boards.

I checked with the MSC, and they're not currently doing this assignment in NYC. So sad.

Wowza. My idea of WOO! was when I was assigned a realistic scenario for which I had oodles of real-life examples to cull from as needed for explanation or embellishment.

Actually see it all the time. Check out the forum to do something other than criticize. Remember you’re not always a secret shopper.
See it all the time. Heck there are posts just on
the subject. Remember you’re not a secret shopper all the time. No need to be critical of everyone and everything.

I actually enjoyed the hotel shops from Freeman Group until they "stiffed" shoppers and went bye-bye.... I could knock out all the observations in less than an hour and half (except breakfast-eval, wake up call, and check out) and the rest of the night was mine! smiling smiley I would just relax in the room (I work a lot) and enjoy.... pretending I was on vacation! smiling smiley
Well, this just fell in my lap! I have a book I've been wanting to send to my nephew out of state, in a rehab and recovery facility. Lo & behold, last night, on the MSC site that does the USPS shops, was a shop in my area for $30.00!!! (Plus the reimbursement)! I grabbed that one up quick, and so today I will be getting paid--and nicely, too!---to send my nephew a book I was going to send him anyway, plus the reimbursement. Sometimes things just work out---WOO-HOO!
I just got an email to open a credit union acct online for $150. Could not have been easier with no written report. Just a “recording” of the app process on a smart phone.

That has happened to me many times, recently I got a Bloomingdale's and Macy's and 80.00 worth of cosmetics from an outstanding brand + fee. Post office jobs where I can send my daughter goodies and get paid + the mailing. Doing my Lucille's BBQ, Urbane Cafe and the numerous restaurants I have been doing for years, which all know I am happy to do with an easy report, and my Assisted living homes where I make a good bit of $ for an hours work. Let's not forget where I call in to my scheduler and he sets me up the month before with grocery jobs in my town no more than 3 miles from home......it's all good.

Did two shops yesterday...one the pizza shop for a $12 reimbursement plus a small fee. The other was reimbursement for an $80 vial of perfume. No fee but the perfume shop took 15 minutes for the visit and the report was so much easier than the pizza shop report. Love the perfume!
Sigh. I would like some new perfume. I have a few bottles that I love, and one of them is a perfume my mother gave me the Christmas before she passed away. I just can't bring myself to use it so I am going to go buy another bottle of it. I wish I had a shop to reimburse it, that would be so great!
Sandy, gotta love when that happens, I also work for that company and starting to drive into the city again.

Irene I think she has these only occasionally. Not on a regular basis. The last one I did was exactly two years ago almost to the day. But when I looked at the perfumery website I was shocked to see it is an international company with stores all over the world. I don't know if she just has California or what. I had never heard of the place before I did a mystery shop there but then I am not a follower of trendy fashion or perfume!
For you jealous people these are an invitation only shop so not on any job board. My first shop was when I was not signed up with the company but the owner contacted me directly as she heard of me through another msc she was associated with.

Envious, but not jealous. Happy for you that you get the shops. I have done perfume shops before but I am sure this is not the same one, and it's been a long time. I am doing a high-end cosmetics store shop tomorrow that pays $40 so I could buy some perfume, but that will only give me a discount on a bottle of what I want.
Just to say, I recently bought a bottle of Katie Perry's 1st perfume, and love it...smells like Chanel, and a little goes a long way.....cost about 29.00 at Koh's with a 30% coupon.
