BJ's Brewhouse

You can go alone or take a guest, either or. I took my hubby with me when I did the bar integrity. The bartender was serving a young woman who was maybe 21, maybe...he didn't card her or her other companions, none of whom could have been over 25. I didn't see him there again sad smiley

Yeah, really. I hate to think he got fired but, it's all on their video and since they want to know what the shopper looks like, what the shopper was wearing, and where they were sitting at the bar, it's easily verified when they roll the tape. And rules are rules, especially stringent when a business has their liquor license and other fines and legal issues on the line for serving underage. Pretty sure that the bartenders are supposed to card anyone who looks under 30, maybe even 40 in some states. That whole group looked 20-25.
I thought with the bar integrity shops, you had to go with someone who is in that age range. I never opened those shops because that was my impression.

No honny, I always went alone, reimbursement isn't that good with drink. I always went early, got a good seat, so hardly anyone was there, but being a sports bar, many looking under 30 should be checked, but never are.....
Funny thing, I bought a bottle of Vodka at Ralph's and was carded, we laughed so hard.....

The current guidelines say you have to be under 30 or bring someone who is under 30.
I've now done 2 BJ's shops. One was a takeout that I had to go in to pick up and the other was a lunch shop. Loved those shops and I'm looking for more in the near future. I wish I could do the Bar integrity shops because they seem to always need filling. Unfortunately, I'm not in the age range. Maybe in my next life smiling smiley.

Speaking of being carded, I went to a restaurant in Colorado 2 years ago. They had a wine special so even though I don't usually order alcohol while I'm out, I ordered some wine. The waitress caught me by surprise by asking for my ID. I was 57 at the time so you can guess my reaction. I didn't have my ID with me since I wasn't driving and I didn't expect to need it. I told her I didn't have it and she told me she couldn't serve me. I was shaking my head about it until my son-in-law (who's a Denver police officer) told me that Colorado law requires them to card EVERYBODY. It kind of burst my bubble. Oh well . . . LOL

What's done is done. An egg cracked cannot be cured.
There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
Different shop. Bar integrity and age compliance shops are not the same thing.

You are thinking of the decoy shops. That's age compliance. I haven't seen the bar integrity shops in awhile, which really are more focused on whether the bartender is charging for drinks, ringing up all drinks immediately, etc But, there were questions about whether or not they were checking IDs of any bar patrons who looked under 30.

They stopped the Bar Integrity shops awhile back...never did the age 18/30 shops, no one to bring, would love to do them, so many around here.( anyone that young)? Same company has another Bar integrity that I do monthly,
no relation to BJ's, and no, don't have to watch for carding....all about getting receipt's, timings and the pour.

Around here, I don't know anyone in that age group I like well enough to sit down with for an hour to do the shop...if they paid more, maybe. My stepdaughters all live or are working out of town or I would take one of them.

HERE in colorado, law and rules, are not always followed...........................................

miss being able to go to a grocery store and buy alcohol............
That's one of the things I miss about California. You could buy wine in the grocery stores. Even 7-11 had their own brand of wine.

Just picked up a curbside for next month, seems easy peasy lemon squeezie, and the food looks pretty good.
