AT&T Audits

A large MSC has had these audits listed for awhile now, where you have to take pictures. The time frame seems to indicate these might take up to two hours. I don't recall the original fee, but they've been bumped up. If they really take close to two hours, they're still not worth the fee. But those of you who have done them, do they really take that long? There's one about 12 minutes from me, but I'm not going to spend two hours doing one for $25.... They're not at the "make an offer" stage yet. winking smiley

I did a bunch of those a while back. The first one I took at base rate and it took me about 1 1/2 hour onsite. If I remember the report was not too horrific but there were lots of pictures to attach. After that, I took some that were bonused between $60 to $75 each. What I found was that if the person assisting me was helpful the shops would go much faster. I tried to do them during the hours that were not to busy at the location. If I remember correctly you had to call and make an appointment so I would make the appointment as soon as the location opened. I was usually there for an hour or so.
You do them after lunch and before when people get off of work and the time isn't too bad. But you do it during the dinner hour which is from 5 PM till they close and it might take several hours.
Thanks! I normally work from home for my other businesses, so it's pretty easy to get away during off-peak hours. If this goes up another $5, I'll try to grab it just to try one. Then I'll know how much to hold out for next time. LOL.

The guidelines say not to call on mine. I did some and they took an hour at the first one that never heard of it and it was my first one and it was an authorized dealer. If they are in compliance, you only have two pics to upload, the store front and tee paper with the store's rep's signaure.
I recently did one at the store I frequent. It helped going during off peak hours and having staff who knew the score. On site was 30 with the report taking 10. Mine was about the same distance from home as yours. It was also in an area I regularly go to run errands so very convenient.

So.... This doesn't sound as bad as it could be. I guess a lot depends on whether the store has its "stuff" together or not. Most of these stores in my area tend to be pretty on track. There's so much competition I think they have to be. I could do at least three cellphone shops, at company-branded stores, within a 1/4 mile of where this AT&T location is.

Thanks for the input. I'm not as afraid of these as I was!

There is a software program that many of the authorized dealers do not have, be sure to ask that question first as it renders about 20 questions as N/A and you could be out of there in 20 minutes.
Any employee can do the audit. If you have done one before and they have not, reassure them that they can do it and that it is always in their best interest to know all they can about their job and company. Bring individually wrapped hard candy to share!
I'm thinking of the ones that do a credit check, they have different phone Co's,. with AT@T being one.

Live consciously....
I've done these shops and took only half an hour. Only one required 3 pictures. These are very easy to do. In my area and the times I went, there were one or two customers, sometimes none.
