Prophet

I log into the prophet system to enter a shop. It said, "you have been unsubscribed from the prophet system." Either you could not receive emails or
you unsubscribed yourself. Neither was correct.

I had to subscribe my self, which I did with the regular companies I shop with. However, I do not have time or have a full list of the other companies.

Does any one have a current list of prophet shops?

Thanks

Do you have a list of the companies you are signed up with? That would be your best bet. I checked a couple of resources and they are so ancient that one lists only about 5 Prophet companies and the other only a few more than that.
I have all the companies in an alphabetical binder. I don't know which ones are phophet (only the mystery shopping companies that I do the most work with).

Thanks, Flash.
Yeh, that's the way I keep mine, too, on index cards, with my ID and passwords. But I have never thought to note what software they use.
I'm sure it is not an all inclusive list but I just flipped through my bookmarks and these were some identifiable Prophet companies:

About Face
bBusiness Solutions
BMA
Business Research Group
Circle of Service
Consumer Perspectives
Direct Scheduling Service
Dynamic Advantage
Epinion
Feedback Plus
Freeman Group
Goodwin & Assoc
ICU Associates
Informa
Insula
Jancyn
Northwest Loss Prevention
Peak Techniques
QUEST FOR BEST
Regal Hospitality
Restaurant Cops
Service Advantage
Service Research
Service with Style
Wireless Store Shopper

I'll just keep editing the post as I think of other companies . . .

And by the way, look at your passwords. Unless you have changed them they should be in the form of the first two letters of your last name and the last 4 digits of your phone number pretty uniformly if they are Prophet companies.
Thanks for the list, Flash. I have my Sassies in a special list but I didn't have but a few Prophets in their own list.
Flash thanks for the list. I already updated the mystery shops I shop for often.

I will do the ones from your list when I have some free time

I still don't understand how this happened. Perhaps it has something to do with me using AOL.
There have been reports from MSPs of bounced emails both from AOL and from Yahoo. That is why I keep encouraging folks to use gmail. It doesn't cost anything and has never been cited by any of the companies as being an email service that blacklists them.

There is another advantage I've found to using gmail which may not affect anyone here but me. Gmail is A LOT faster with dial up than Yahoo mail is. The ads on Yahoo mail take forever to load, IF they even do load. If the ad won't load, then the page will not load. Gmail loads quickly for me.
Our company uses Prophet. Shoppers may apply at www.sentrymarketing.com by clicking on the "Prospective Evaluators" link.
If I recall Jacob had a list of prophet comapnies to sign up with on the board. Does any one know how I can find it?
kittybratt, do you know if you were unsubscribed from each Prophet-using MSP you had been signed with? Shoppers can do a sign-up with the Prophet developer, Archon Development Co. [www.archondev.com]. Supposedly, it's a master sign-up with all their MSPs offering shops in your area. I did it a few years ago. It saved time and connected me with new-to-me MSPs.

I don't recall being provided with a list, which would have been nice. But, when an MSP would email available shops to me, if they weren't on my list, I added them. I have a binder of my MSPs, a page for each. I made a form with space for website, address and phone nos., date registered/terminated, scheduler info, payment cycle/method, clients and notes. Most of them, I've noted the software used, Shopmetrics, Prophet, Sassie, etc.
That is great info Mert, thank you. Is there such an option for Sassie users as well?
Mert, I did try previously. archondev.com. You cannot update on it. It said, "your email address is already subscribed." I do have an alphabetic list, similar to yours. However, I really cannot tell which ones use prophet, except the ones I do alot of mystery shopping with.

Thanks
Thanks for the helpful list Flash. Thought I'd let you know that SQM actually uses their own custom system rather than Prophet, however.

Which is why I asked if you knew whether you were unsubscribed from every MSP using Prophet. If Archon says you are subscribed, was it only the one MSP who said "you have been unsubscribed from the prophet system." ?
I use Roboform which gives me an alphabetical list of the companies I am currently working for. A click, and Roboform connects to the web site and I'm ready to go. But I never thought about which software they were using.
I used to use a paper list of companies, but I referred to it so infrequently that it got out of date. Historically, it's fun to look back on how all this madness started and my progress in adding companies, etc. But I can't be bothered keeping track like I used to.
It seems that I get enought work (still too little) from about 20 companies, even though I had started out signing up with more than 100. Between having no jobs in my area and having jobs I don't like to do, I have ignored more and more MSP's as the years go by. I have also dropped all my merchandising, which I actually enjoyed. Some just got too hard to do (lots of construction, climbing around, and more time spent than the company estimated) and I dropped them.
Glabow,
Did you upgrade to Roboform's pay service?

I was cut off after about 20 companies and haven't had time either trim the list or look into their pay services.
What's your thoughts?
