Movie theatre shops?

Hi,everyone..I've done mystery shopping for about a year now and recently did a movie theatre shop and loved it...can you point me in the right direction on which companies offer movie theatre shops? Thanks for the help..Higher pay would be nice but not a huge factor if the reimbursement is in place for the movie ticket and concessions....

Service Sleuths has some movie theater shops, the pay is low but reimbursement is for the ticket and concessions.
Market Force purple door entrance also have movie theatre shops in my area. Since it appears by your spelling that you are a Canuck, you probably get the same ones I do.
Hi Bena, are those checks or actual shops? Just curious, because where I live (states) the purple portal has theater checks and some installation and merchandising type work, but no actual theater mystery shops.
Movie theater shops are fun and rewarding. Bestmark for the United States. Not sure about Canada.

Good luck and have fun.
re: Hi Bena, are those checks or actual shops?

They are checks but you get to see the whole movie once you've counted the trailers or done the audience counts, etc.
Thanks to everyone..I'll definitely look into the companies mentioned. Bena, I'm not a Canuk, although when I have met a couple of them, they are the nicest people I have ever met. I have lived in 7 different states and in Korea and Japan. Not sure, if moving around so much, or lack of sleep is affecting my grammar.....

Sorry, the 'theatre' instead of 'theater' was what made me think you were Canadian.
Both are correct in my opinion. As also "gray" and grey", "color" and "colour", etc. Hey, it's English.

I believe I shop the same general area as you (Chicago). I have been shopping with BestMark for four years and have yet to see a movie theater shop. How long ago (or currently) have you seen them?????
I know in Canada we get both what I've always considered American spellings and British spellings (except for tyre and kerb). I am used to seeing grey/gray, harbor/harbour, centre/center, etc., I just wasn't aware that Americans also used both.

One thing I find very frustrating is the date. When I see 3/6/18 I frequently can't tell if Jun 3rd or Mar 6th is meant. Home Depot, an American-based store uses the British way and Canada Safeway (and others) uses the American method. Just confuses me to no end when I'm trying to do the bookkeeping.
Oh, Bena, it's not all Americans. It's just Americans who are well-read in English lit and just find the old spelling proper (and very cool) and the American way...not so cool and proper. Why anyone felt the need to change it possibly because someone dumped tea in a harbour, I don't know (see, spellcheck got me on "harbour"winking smiley. And I have no idea what a tyre or a kerb is...ha!

And the date thing sucks. I only know one way so I have to adjust to that one. I do like the format of ours because I don't know any better smiling smiley
tyre = tire
kerb = curb
and then we have eavestroughs where you have gutters. Our gutters run along side the road so rain can go down the drain. winking smiley

We should do a thread on the different ways to say the same thing while using the English language.
Yes, in Florida where I lived when young gutters also were those things that drained water near the road. But here in the NE US apparently those are also on the along the top of the roof. So those are eavestroughs? Well I get why there are different things that developed way after the tea drop, but...
LOL, I've never thought about it that way but they definitely do....like eating fusion instead of meat and potatoes.
I lived in Japan for several years and my brain got permanently confused about how to spell in English. My friends and I all worked teaching English at one time or another and it seems that Japanese English is dependent on whether the individual writing took English classes from an American, a Brit, a New Zealander etc.
I lived in Okinawa when I was young for three years...I used to speak Japanese but I forgot more than I learned.
The funny thing was I had a lot of trouble understanding my friend from New Zealand when she spoke my native tongue of English....I could not imagine what her students learning New Zealand English with a native Japanese accent would sound like..She probably wondered the same about my students.

I've had issues with editors when I used the English/England spellings, colour, etc..
Yes, I imagine so. When writing reports in the US they have to be written with the Americanized spellings. My opinion doesn't count, LOL.
Wow, I'd forgotten about them, it's been years since I did their shops. I think they used to be Corporate Research International or something like that. I tried to login and it said my account was locked. I guess I will have to email them.
It's good to know all forms of English spelling if you play scrabble. The old, the new, the British, the American, the slang, the alternate spellings etc are all in my "Official Scrabble Dictionary."
I've done theater shops with HS Brands and Certified Field Associates. One has straight assessments for theaters the other has the ones that have the gift certificate given to the concession vendor if they do specific things. I've also seen theater shops for alcohol compliance, but sadly I do not meet the age limits. I've seen some on ISecretShop as well, but those may be very local to my area.
@CTChamp, I've done the one with HS Brands, very easy shop..I really enjoy it. I try to get to the first showing to make the count easier, but the last movie I saw was Ant Man so alot of little kids and 2 large groups of family ,so i did lose count a couple of times..and I almost always forget the concession receipt. Just a heads up too, when I'm not doing shops I do tend to sneak food in sometimes. Thankfully, I don't do that while shopping, this last movie shop they asked me to open my purse. I will check out Certified Field Associate's and just to let you know I'm under the impression that most of us including myself don't meet the age limits, much over the max age on that myself..

Actually, the "or" ending derives from Latin and is the older form of spelling. The use of "our" was adopted after the Norman conquests to match the Old French spelling
Since this thread has been hijacked already, I just wanted to excitedly tell everyone that I got a movie theater shop that will let me watch almost all the movies I want for three months. This is a huge savings for me! And I barely had to do anything for the assignment itself! And it paid for my popcorn and drink, which I didn't want anyway, but bought for the points! Glorious day!
