Today I was told by a scheduler that she wanted to schedule me for a shop I had requested but the editors didn't like one of my last reports and would prefer she didn't schedule me. I have done a lot of shops for this company and I don't recall that shop that was mentioned as being problematic or getting any more clarification requests than usual. In the email informing me of this issue that I was not aware of previously, I was asked to explain the wide variation in my shop grading...
I replied and said that the only 2 reasons I could think of would be that a) I do use multiple devices to enter shops so it was possible it was my browser not showing me typos (that does happen depending on what device I am using) .and/or it could have been fatigue as the shop she referred to is a long drive from my home and I was trying to get it in before the deadline. It just occurred to me that possibly it is another scenario-could it be editorial differences? I am pretty sure that I don't have the same editor each time and I do know that some editors are more particular than others.
Anyone else ever had this issue? It just surprised me as I have done another shop since this shop and nothing was said about any editorial concerns when I was doing that shop and submitting it?
