Has anyone else received reviews like this

I received the following review tonight:

"For future shops, please have a paragraph on each for the greeting, xxxxxx, xxxxxx and register interaction. Please space between paragraphs."

Over the past five or six years, I have received five or six reviews similar to this, each from a different company. ALL have been on the Sassie platform.

I always paragraph every two to four sentences. Each paragraph is related to a different aspect of the shop. I always double space between paragraphs.

I do not use a word processor and editor to type my report. I type directly into Sassie.

I am convinced there is some sort of bug in Sassie because it is the only platform where I have had this happen. I would never submit a report without proper paragraphing.

I find it frustrating that any company, especially one where I have completed numerous shops, would think that I would. Yet, each time it has happened, I have received a review that seems to put the blame squarely on my shoulders. This email was relatively nice but a couple of editors have sent some very snarky reviews. I cannot believe I am the only shopper to whom this happens.

@whiterosie...just got back pretty similar editing notes.even in the ones that don't require alot of narration...I tend to write alot; so I thought it was just me. I didn't get docked alot for it though. I also type directly on the platform itself.

Maybe it's a browser issue? I use Chrome to do shops, previously I used Firefox. I have never had a review like that, no. But in the end I wouldn't sweat it, even if you know you submitted a 10 shop and get an 8 or 9 grade, it's not going to affect your overall rating that much and you should have no problem still getting shops. And as long as you get paid...chalk it up to a glitch and move on, nothing else you can do.
I tend to save quite a bit when typing narrative directly into Sassie. I have also gone back only to see all paragraph spacing removed. Obviously, I go through and break them apart again. Because I have not gotten notes on it from editors, it has me thinking they remain intact after the edit.

Two other issues with Sassie bug the hell out of me. One is the photos. Despite uploading them correctly, the photo will often be rotated. The only way to get the button to rotate it back is to save and go back in. Stupid waste of time. The other is entering time in and having error boxes pop up before I can enter time out because the times are all set to the default of midnight.

Are you using a phone or tablet? I would always recommend using a computer with SASSIE. As someone who works in SASSIE all day, I type everything in a word processing program and copy it over.

Lisa- I actually submitted a support ticket about the rotation issue a few months ago. Apparently, it has something to do with the background data in certain photos that is meant to preserve their orientation when uploaded to different platforms. I sometimes have to take a screenshot of an image, resave it in paint, and reupload it in order to get the orientation correct! SASSIE has said they do not have a way to combat this issue yet.

Christine, having the photo upload in the wrong orientation is not the primary problem. In fact, it often happens regardless of the platform. The difference with other platforms is the rotation tool is usually available rather than the extra process of saving and going back into the report. If the rotation tool is available without this rigmarole and I am missing it, I would love for someone to clue me insmiling smiley

Lisa- Ah! I see what you're saying. It's not something I usually have to deal with on my end, so it didn't come to mind right away. If I'm uploading a picture, it's because I had to edit it in some way, so if the orientation was off, I already fixed it in a different program. I usually only use the rotation arrows when the image was already uploaded by the shopper.

I'll submit a support ticket and see if SurfMerchants has a fixed planned in the future. smiling smiley

It is a bit of a pain to have to go in to rotate a picture. I am always so happy when the orientation is correct.
Worse yet, there are reports that I've uploaded a picture and it's orientation was wrong. But there seems to be no way to go in and rotate it before or after saving. Trend Source comes to mind in particular for this problem.

She said "I don't own a wordprocessor." Lol. That's funny. Anyone born after 1991 has no idea what a wordprocessor even is.

Now please excuse me while I answer this scheduler's page on my Alltel pager.
@LisaSTL - Just heard back from SurfMerchants. They said that it's normal SASSIE behavior for the rotation images to not show up until after the report is saved. They explained that it's because the image is not saved to their servers until the report is saved. No fix planned for it. Ah, well. It was worth asking.
