Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I wish we had Ross up here. I shop them (on my own time) every time I go to Texas to visit relatives. When I lived in Florida it was my very most favvvorrrite store! I still can go there and shop for 30 minutes and easily find at least 3 items to purchase. I can't always do that at Kohl's or Macy's, and they are exponentially more expensive most of the time, unless I can find stuff on clearance and double up with coupons.
I never find clothes for me at Ross, and just found a great designer blouse at Macy's in their 70% off rack for 22.00, original price 79.00. Knowing how to shop at Macy's sale , clothes are great and inexpensive. I do buy pants at Kohl's with 30% coupon on top of sale...I have so many clothes, I should open a store. I haven't been seeing Ross and used to do three a month....new shoppers, what's a girl to do?

Not knocking Macy's or Kohl's, sometimes I get lucky there and find a lot of nice things. I just have lucked out when I go to Ross, especially the one near my cousin's house in Beaumont. Last time I was there I found a ton of great stuff, new work pants for $8 and several shirts that were very nice for $10-$15 each.

I don't shop for clothes often, but I found a breezy, "flowy" summer dress at Ross when I was there last time for $12! I love it, and with the weather being so hot here all summer, I've been living in that and another flowy, boho summer dress I got at Gabe's for $10! I get loads of compliments on them, and they're so comfortable. I think I saw the one at Ross while I was doing a shop, and then went back for it.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I have a one per month limit for this very reason.

I was thinking about it, and the subject line should read "Snarky bastards" instead of "sneaky bastards" because most of us are not sneaky, we are mostly snarky. There you have it.

“Leveled up”? What does that mean?

I think the OP has been playing too much D&D.

Also my parents were married when I was born (and conceived if it matters) so obviously this thread doesn't apply to me.

Yeah, sigh. I was also born in wedlock (not that it's such a big deal these days). You are quite the literal unbastard. But the snarky part certainly applies.

I'm with BGriff and Jas on this OP's word selection. Parents did it the old fashioned way, marry first, baby carriage after.

On the top right there are green bubbles with 1 2 3 4 5 but I never recalled being anything other than a 5... so I'm really not sure. Also, my first shop with this MSC was a Five Guys.
Why are they the "sneaky bastards?" Because they followed the rules?

Yes, I thought that comment was sort of offensive, probably a passive aggressive expression of annoyance because no one told her. And the "level up" thing has me puzzled.
She was just messing around and letting us know she did her due diligence and found it on her own, I'm pretty sure. I didn't find it offensive at all.
I think maybe Dawn thinks she didn't see 5 Guys because she hadn't done enough shops to qualify? I've been with them so long I can't remember, but I think all shops are visible to new shoppers right out the gate without any need to "level up".
You may be right, JASFLALMT. In that case, I'm glad Honny posted and I'm glad I posted. It's nice that the OP's letting us know she did her due dliligence and it's nice that you and other posters may not have been offended by the way she let us know. I'm letting her know I found her post offensive. There are plenty of ways of letting us know she did her due diligence. One might be to say "Thanks, Everybody, for all the help you've given me on this great forum that's provided to me free. I've learned so much. I followed your advice and I recently found Five Guys. Thanks!"
Yes, but I am not always the nicest of people...or sometimes in my delivery, anyway. Since I am a repeat offender (I repeat, I will offend again) how can I expect anyone else to be perfectly sugar-sweet in their wording each and every time they post?
I totally agree with you, JASFLALMT, but when we are offended by someone's wording, ought we not to mention it? If her intent was innocent, I think she might appreciate knowing that someone was offended. If I post something that offends someone - and it has happened, I admit it - I expect them to post that they are offended. My next post is an apology and I try to behave in a less offensive manner with future posts because it's not my intent to be offensive just as I know it is never your intent to be offensive. If she doesn't realize her post has offended anyone and she thinks "oh, I'm so cute, everybody's laughing and enjoying my post, I'll do it some more ....." It seems more reasonable for someone to say "I'm offended. Please rethink." I'm definitely not sugar-sweet, but if you or anyone else tells me I've offended them, I would apologize. I'm sure the OP's intent was to be cute and funny rather than to offend and if I were her I would appreciate knowing someone was offended .
Yes, I agree with that, mostly, other than that I have been purposefully offensive at times, though obviously not always. I thought you knew that about me. Probably didn't apologize for it all of the time, either, maybe because I didn't feel it was necessary or because I wasn't sorry for it? Oh well. I am glad to know you are a decent sort with really nice manners. I always knew that, though smiling smiley.
I don't think she meant to offend, but not everyone gets one's humor online and I just didn't like the word, however it was intended. I'm certainly not the sweetest all the time, but my intent is not to offend, unless I'm offended first. The OP being new shouldn't be using swear words, and if someone else did it, the post may have been removed...just sayin....and yes, Jas, Rolfwolf is the fairest kindness member of the forum., and has his right to be or not to be offended. Doesn't matter what others do, we're talking about this one thread.

Live consciously....
That's why I said I mostly agree, other than the part about ME not intentionally offending people. I don't do it all the time or even very often, but it has happened.

What? When I accidentally offend someone I don't apologise, I try to do it worse next time!

Seriously, I wasn't offended personally, but I did find the title to be a bit tacky. I have certainly used profanity here before but it tends to be more for emphasis than just gratuitous cursing for the heck of it.
