New thing for Shell stations

“ You will receive an instant reward email for each location you are assigned. This one page documentmust be printed off for each location and presented to eligible staff members, it is unique to each location. The email will be sent prior to the first day of shopping and then nightly after the start of the program.”

Ok. So. If I sign up for 50 of these, I’ll grt 50 emails immediately, then 50 more each night until they’re done AND I am expected to print off a reward page for each of them before knowing if the location earned the reward? Ya, that sounds like I’ll be requesting an even higher incentive per location just to deal with that BS.

Actually, I'm about to bid on several of them. Just have to determine the amount of incentive.
I’ve given it out a grand total of once. I’m not printing these out. That’s dumb.

Is it common for them to approve a bundle with incentive on the first week of the program? I've tried putting bids in for bundles before at just $1 extra and they are rejected. And when they call on the phone about incentives, they come back with an incentive that is half what is listed on the webpage, and I find that insulting and a waste of time. Why bother calling me if you're going to offer UNDER what I can get by self-assigning?
It’s ridiculous that the phone people still can’t see what is available online.

This un-named MSC does several brands of gas stations. I find that the schedulers for one of the brands usually get back to me within a day or two sometime with a "yes", sometimes with a "no" and sometimes with a counter offer. I am doing more of this brand than the others who tend to not respond. I have no hesitation in putting bids in for more than one brand for the same time period as they all call before assigning to make sure I can still do the shops. It annoys me no end that the brand I had been using most does not get back promptly or not at all. The exception is the end of the month, during desperation time.
I think you and I work in a very similar manner with this company. It took them years to realize that I’m not cheap and that people in the our area won’t take their jobs at base rate, not even close. They get it now. I know most of them on a first name basis. They mostly know what I’m willing to take and what isn’t even worth the call.

Wow, you actually got to give one out!
My clerks are 0-for-107 since the beginning of the year.

I have given out one of these, out of dozens and dozens of shops, and the employee told me next time I shopped that location that the manager didn't even know how to redeem them.
Just about to do a bunch of Shell shops and genuinely considered printing out these awards. Absolutely no way I'm printing out an email and giving the attendant something with my name and email address on it. Sorry, (oops I did it again). You're asking too much here.

Moderator Note:

Forum guidelines state that we not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies. Also, naming the client and MSC may be an ICA violation.

Print out one. Make a copy or two of that one by covering the specific rewards code with a blank piece of paper, therefore the copy will be only the golden ticket, with nothing next to rewards code.

In the highly unlikely event a clerk ever asks you for the card, just retrieve the email from your phone with that shops code, handwrite it in, and give it to the clerk.
I wasn't going to print out the entire email either, seemed stupid to me. So I just screen shot the area with the reward information on it, opened my photo editor. sized them to fit four to a page, and since thy each had different codes, I added the shop # to each. I little bit of extra work, but better than printing out 50+ emails. However, I've yet to give one out, not even to the station whose cashier had worked there for like 25+ years!!!
I figured I'd just bring it up on my phone and let them take a photo of it. On the off chance it happens, It seems like an easy way to handle it.

For me, the worst part about these Email reward codes is that you can no longer take a shop for the week. Instead, when you agree to do the shop and select the date, it gives your shop's first date for the next week. IMO, that is to allow for the award Email to arrive in time.
