Product Testing -- Mountain Cacher -- Not a scam/spam post

Anyone else doing product testing?

I signed up to test a couple of products and to my surprise actually got one in the mail!

Usually, I'm overlooked or not the demographic, or yada yada.

I may have actually gotten two products but I'm unsure yet as I received two separate emails for the products with a ticket reference but only one showed up so we shall see. Have any of you done product testing before? I've done reviews before for some cash and I've done video reviews for gift cards but those were always with things I already owned.

Also, I don't know if the contract forbids me from telling what it was and who sent it as the finite details haven't been worked out with this company so can't spill the beans on that just yet. Hoping some long timers or newbsters here have done this before. I have tried to review a lot on Amazon on hopes of getting Vine status but nada so far. Also, Viewpoints basically kicked me off/deactivated me for reviewing too much but it really was products I had owned, bought, used at work, etc.or even got during mystery shops -_-

About 7 or 8 years ago, I did a product testing for toothpaste. Had to use it for a week and report. I got to keep the toothpaste...haha!! Can't remember if there was any other remuneration. And about 2 months ago, I did a product testing for a new "organic"-type shower soap. Had to use it at least 3 times in a week and report. I had to send the product back in a postage-paid envelope. I got paid $5.00 via Tango, which I transferred to my Paypal account.
I did body wash, deodorant, and cat litter. (actually, my cat did the litter, I just reported about it.) I also used to do focus groups.
Well, gee whiz! Fun - sure it's fun getting free stuff, but don't people really want to know how to be included? Here are 2 I'll share: PinchME -and- BetaBound
I don't remember the name of the site that I did that through. MC, I am sure it won't do any harm to disclose the info.
I tested a Mr. Coffee cappuccino machine, a leg waxing product and an electric blanket all through Field Agent. All of them were about 2 years ago.
I did product testing for eRewards. You have to do a lot of surveys to be eligible.

I got a Keurig Machine about 9-10 years ago and a comforter for some company but can remember what it was.
Every once in a while, I get to try some other product but usually, they are no big deal.
I have tried Pinch me but my but my virus protector blocks it.
I product test occasionally. Women's forum groups, Vocal Point comes to mind. Also a member of Allure and House Party. ROC, L'Oreal products i.e. lipsticks, Face Cream, Ice Cream, Laundry Products, room sprays, gum. Love it!
I would like to test a Hummer, lanyards for phones, and the Roc retinol with hydration product. Wait, I might have to invent phone lanyards first...

I still haven't gotten any of the FAQ/Disclosure info. It seems it's a new project and the company is scatter brained but one product arrived and a notification of another. In the distant past, I had done some things for ViewPoints like cheaper makeup from Cover Girl, mints, and gum. And on Opinion Outpost & Quick Thoughts I've signed up for opportunities but hadn't came through yet. These two are decently nice kitchen gadgets. Hopefully they get it straight. It may have just changed mystery shop hands for the first time so we shall see.

I used to get products quite regularly. I would see them hit the store shelves a year later. One time, I was sent dryer sheets. They stunk. I explained that after I used the dryer sheets it took several washes to get the heavy perfume off my clothing. I had to stop using them because they were triggering migraines. That was the last time I was ever sent a product to test by that company. A year or two later I saw fabric softeners boasting "lasting freshness" hit the shelves and I bet that is what that stinky crap was they sent me.
I received two in a week so maybe being about to hit 30 is the magic number of where the demographic starts. I have tried for about a decade. I really enjoyed video reviews of things I already owned. I did that in college for extra cash. I once received $50 for just getting on camera for 5 minutes and explaining how simple my dryer was to use. Another time, I got $25 for showing how to install a set of batteries 0_o

They actually have them! My son got one for him to use on a trip. They keep your phone handy and is waterproof!
Prior to mystery shopping, I did a ton of online surveys and would do a product test about once a month. I'm no longer with most of these companies (no time with work, hobbies, kids, etc) but the ones I used most often were Opinion Outpost and Valued Opinions. I've done product tests for toothpastes, deodorant, lotions, shampoos & conditioners, face wash, bar soaps, nail polish, hair spray, toilet paper, diapers (baby) and diaper cream, baby wipes, razors, sanitizer, dish soap, hand soap, various snack foods, dairy products (they came in a styrofoam container packed with dry ice) and various beverages (usually shelf stable fruit juices). The very best product test I ever did was for a Philips Sonicare toothbrush that I got to keep after the testing and reporting was done, and I still use it.
I product tested for a few shoe companies, including one that is currently in headlines right now. It was so fun, they’d send me 1-2 pairs a year, I’d log every time I wore them and what conditions, and send them back. It started with signing up for one company (directly with the shoe company) and 2 others got my contact info from them.
