Crown Plaza Check-in Shop

Has anyone had any problems with this shop? I was under the impression that our credit card would be reversed when we revealed ourselves. The check-in associated did not know anything about the program. She says that she cancelled the "check-in" To me that would be the fact that she swiped my card for future purchases. She said she did not have any paperwork or receipt of anything to show that the charges will be reversed. She said that would be sent by the office. It's been three days and I have not seen anything about a credit and the charge is still on my card.
Should I contact the MSC or wait for a longer time? I would feel better knowing how someone else shop was handled.

Contact your scheduler. Also, reread your guidelines; it seems to me they addressed this in the guidelines.
There should only be pending charges, not actual charges. The pending charges should disappear after a few days. If they do not, contact your scheduler.

If you are doing a lot of these shops, those pending charges can add up quickly and affect the available credit on your card(s).

Yes, some of the hotel employees are clueless. They don't read the letter carefully and they don't want to do anything out of their comfort zone. Many won't do the cancellation right away. Some, however, do it right away and may even give you a printout that proves they canceled your stay.

Good luck.
Thanks both of you. I did go back to the guidelines and in the FAQ I saw the info about the pending. What really concerned me was the inadequate response from the attendant. But the charge did go away and I've signed up for another location on the 2nd round.
I was very worried during some of my shops exactly because of how the attendants acted. Everything worked out in the end, though.
