OP, if you know not to post job offerings here, why do it? If we don’t follow your company’s guidelines we don’t get paid. Not asking too much for you to follow our simple guidelines here.
My take is: 1) by a non-native English speaker
2) not posting the job, posting the very, very healthy referral fee
For that fee I think we should let her slide! But honestly, I never look at the job posting section and would never have seen it there. Too much to weed through there. Just wish I knew a Polish speaker!
I love Informa and my boyfriend speaks fluent Polish (he was born there) but we live no where near those areas lol
Heck, if this isn't a gross misprint, and the referral fee is $250, I can imagine they'd cover airfare for a qualified shopper.

Knowing Informa, I suspect that the referral fee really is $250.

Hi Everyone! I'm a native English speaker I was just rushing to post and should've taken the time to proofread my post. I had originally posted on the job board but, didn't receive any responses. Informa is offering the $250 referral fee. That was the one and only time I will post anything job related on the discussion board. I apologize if I offended anyone.

I, for one, was not offended, since this is an unusual situation that I think deserved special attention. If a shopper had posted a "head-up" to the effect that Informa is offering a $250 referral fee for Polish speakers for shops in (state names), we would not do anything but cheer !

I keep thinking that if I was back home in Milwaukee I would know a ton of folks bilingual in Polish and English and many of them would have relatives in those Illinois locations, at the very least. When I was growing up in Milwaukee about half of the shops needed at least on employee who was bilingual in Polish and nearly all of the South Side stores had signage in both languages. That was just an accepted part of city life. Funny thing, when the same thing started to happen with Spanish speakers who had moved in from Texas (yes, from Texas, folks) there was an uproar about signs and service in 2 languages. Go figure.

(In the later 1960s and early 1970s, thousands of Texas based migrant farm worker families that ha previously worked each summer the Wisconsin fields were displaced by mechanization. As it happened, I worked with some of the folks that helped them to resettle in Milwaukee where there were plenty of jobs., and got to know quite a few of the families.. They immediately founded a credit union and a weekly newspaper. Their ancestors had become US citizens when we annexed Texas, not by immigrating.)

I'm right in the midst of these locations, but sadly don't know anyone who speaks Polish...Is Hungarian close enough? I want to stand on the corner of Wallington and pick someone up..they are all Polish in Wallington.

I was not offended. I appreciate that you took the initiative to bring the situation to our attention. If I knew anyone in that demographic, I would refer them immediately.

The job board here is a complete mess. Until they start deleting posts that don’t include the state or any relevant information, it’s a complete waste of time for me.
