Marathon Audits - How Hard / Time Consuming?

I've signed up with a MSC that is constantly offering gas station audits. There are some available Marathon shops in my area. How long / time consuming are these? This (to my knowledge) is not the mystery shop but an audit.

Thanks!

I've performed a lot of different gas station audits, but until I read your post, I've never heard of Marathon. I can't help you but, I hope someone that has performed these will reply to you.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I've never done a Marathon, but I am familiar with this MSC. I find if you pay attention to the guidelines/survey (which you may print out before you go do the shop) that they are pretty straightforward. The schedulers are great, editors responsive, but if they are like the other gas stations they handle, you absolutely must get the details right.
I have completed hundreds of the 'regular' Marathon shops (part mystery shop then reveal) but have yet to complete one of the audits... they won't pay me enough yet for 11+ pictures.
I do like this MSC a lot, and will happily take the work when the price is right.
I did one yesterday (mystery shop/reveal) for $20. It took about 30 minutes because I had never done one before.

I love those...
I've done hundreds. Take me less than 15 minutes each unless something crazy happens.

The store I went to had a lot of non-compliance issues and I had to take a lot of photos--worn looking pumps, peeling paint on the bollards, curbs, islands, outages in the coolers, etc. And, the clerk told me the restroom was out of order. It was locked but there was no sign on the door. After he found out who I was he confessed it wasn't really out of order, they just didn't like people using it.

Are you talking about the ones that start out as a mystery shop then go to a reveal?

There are also audits, they do NOT require a purchase but have 11+ photo requirements.

You only have to have 1 photo of each infraction. So worn bollards would only be 1 photo. I think the most I've ever taken was like 20 and that was a horrible station. Once you take a photo of a worn bollard you can ignore the other bollards. Same for pumps. Or canopy. Or coolers. Or anything else. As for restrooms. If they tell me the restroom is out of order it's out of order and I move on. I don't go back to it later. And I don't go back and forth about the audit. Either give me permission or I leave. I don't try to talk them into it or wait for them to call someone. One guy wanted me to go to the gas station down the street and ask for the owner. I was like nope. Sorry!

I have not seen the straight up audits but I haven't worked for this company in a couple of years.

It was the first and only one I've ever done. But for $20 and 5 miles from home, hey, why not?
I have done a boatload of them at $20. That's a decent fee for them.
