Storage Shop Tomorrow-- Nervous and Need Help!

I have a Storage shop to do tomorrow where I go through the process of purchasing a storage unit, going back to my vehicle, then coming back inside with a letter informing the associate I'm a mystery shopper. I have already done this exact shop but it was months back with a different mystery shop company, and it was at a different location. I'm nervous that my information will be stored in the company database as a secret shopper and when I complete this shop tomorrow, they will see that I rented from them before and possibly be marked as a secret shopper. I have reached out to my scheduler who has been less than helpful. They said to just refer to the guidelines (which I did and still had questions) and then they said to just use a fake name and phone number, but the guidelines specifically say to use my real name since I will be handing them my ID and credit card anyway (just like my last shop) I don't have anyone to bring with me to rent the unit in their name; I would have to use all my same information. I brought this to the scheduler's attention and they have stopped returning my emails sad smiley I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize the shop getting approved. Any help would be appreciated!

Look at your report and see if there are places to input the exact name and telephone/email you gave them. That will be the info needed for the MSC and the Client to scrub their records of you. I do a similar shop at a club store and give my info every month to get my membership card, and even though I may look familiar but when they look me up, I'm not there.
There is no place in the report to input the name and telephone number I provided for the shop. Should I be in the clear?
Can you say you are recently divorced and now go by your maiden name and provide them with different contact info (different email address and/or phone number) while renting?
That could work too, you could even work that into your scenario.... moving into our new house soon, etc.
Please let us know how it goes. I've done this previously too for the other MSC, and now with the new one the price is up to $40 at a location near me. I'd love to do it again, but I am wondering if my info is in their system.
I'm nervous to go through with it and be found out. I guess all I can do is go and see what happens. Hopefully it's not a waste of time.
Can you borrow someone’s ID for the shop, like a sister or a cousin? You could easily sign up for a different phone number through Google voice and sign up for a different email. I just did this shop yesterday and it was really fun!
Is the first shop you did the one where they tell you that you can only do this shop once? Forever and ever, it sounded like. If so, then your information is probably still stored. If the scheduler won't respond (don't you hate it when they simply tell you to refer to the guidelines, when the reason you're contacting them is because you already did that and still have questions), then the suggestion to say you've just gotten married and are moving (so that's why you need the storage unit!) and haven't had time to change your DL sounds good. So you have to have a new address picked out, too.

Good luck; I hope it goes well.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Schedulers are just trying to throw poo and see what sticks. They were $50 in my area, dropped down to a pittance, and are back up to $40. I like how they say to use a different name BUT if you are found out you will not be paid. If my name were scrubbed, I wouldn't have to use a diff name. The agent needs a correct/valid ID to run the card. The card & the ID will match - the agent doesn't care that you mean to change the name or you will be changing the name.
If Bare Int'l and its clients can scrub shoppers' names, why can't other MSCs and their clients?

I did this one for the $50 company, then saw the new company and what they started out with over there was sad lol
The way mine was done, they gathered all my info first, put it in the computer, and then asked for payment and ID
Alexa, how did the shop go? They are up to $40-45 in my area and I am hesitant to do it again since I've done one earlier this year. Were you in their system?
