I know it wasn't in the guidelines or report BUT.....

Is there anything worse then this email the day after a shop?? I am to the point that I take way more information and notes then are required for a shop, and I record every phone call that is required. My issue is if you KNOW you need this information WHY is it not in the guidelines or reports? You ask us to do a great/perfect job every time out to get paid, but you can't even tell us what you are looking for? I don't know if it is the MSC or the client, but it gets frustrating. This morning I basically had to write 3 new narratives describing people and exact conversations on a phone call that were not anywhere in the guidelines or report. I wonder what would have happened if I were new to this and just said "Sorry I don't have that info".

Sorry, just needed to vent to people who i know understand.

I have yet to run into this and I pray I never do. I can't even begin imagining how frustrating this is.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I sometimes get requests for more detailed info on something. Almost always for me it is Blaze pizza and why did it take xxx minutes to make your pizza or give you the receipt. How much explaining can you do about a line 30 feet long and only 2 team members on an hour after their normal lunch rush. I shop part time so I can usually remember a particular shop for a few days but I am always in awe of those of you who shop everyday and do 8-12 shops. How can you ever keep the different shops straight in your mind and remember little details when more info is requested afterwards?
Sandy, I don't. I keep meticulous records; I print out the first page of the assignment, make my notes on that page, and staple the receipt to it. If even a month later the MSC comes back with questions, my notes will refresh my memory enough to answer rather detailed questions. If not, I just tell them, "Sorry, I don't have that information."
" If even a month later the MSC comes back with questions,"

HA! I was asked about something three months after a shop was done and had been paid for.

Wow, If I have been paid (which means they accepted my work) there is a very good chance my answer would be "I don't remember".

In addition to doing exactly what Ceasesnith does, I also keep a small notebook with pertinent information liking timings, and sometimes descriptions. I also keep the front pages and receipts for about 1 year and then they are trashed.
In case anyone was wondering, this was actually a to go order at a good chain restaurant. But yea, Blaze pizza shops I always take extra notes and timings.

One MSC stated to keep photos for six months. The day before six months, I was purging files and deleted those photos. About two hours later, I got an email that the client wanted the photos resent. Really?! The MSC seemed okay with it.
This is where being an IT person for part of my life comes in handy. I have a three tier backup policy, which includes onsite, offsite, and deep storage of all files. If I need them, I can probably get them.....Anyone have a 3.5 floppy disk reader I can borrow? LOL
