Exxon/Mobil Revealed Audit pictures

Was anyone aware that if there's a person in one of the photos in this audit (the MSC pays $12.50, if that narrows it down), the face needs to be blurred out?
I've done possibly thousands of these and have never been told, but I got an email this week from the supervisor and it included one of my pics. I guess the editors have always covered the faces but one of the employees was not covered in the pic (the other had a gray box over his face) so they kicked it back to me to let me know it should be done in the future.

The crazy things that go on in the background... I mean. I'm certainly not going to do it if the editor is doing it, but it's interesting to know what they do.

That's interesting. I'm sure I have submitted photos, particularly when, taking shots of the pumps at a self-serve location, with an attendant in the background. I take back all those nasty things I have said about editors if they are blurring out faces rather than putting the shop on hold. My humble apology, Ms Editor.
I sometimes try to get the attendant in the pic if they're not wearing a uniform shirt and refuse to be photographed. Maybe I should stop doing that.

I don't do Exxon's but I do the same thing for the green stations. It's nearly impossible to get every photo without anyone in it even when I try.

That's interesting! Many of my photos that are of the counter may have the employee standing off to the side. I don't do it on purpose, they just don't get out of the way. I wonder, should I ask them to step further aside now?
Some of my counter photos for some of the other gas stations (yellow, green, whatever) that ask for a counter photo as part of the audit always have a customer or employee in it. Its pretty difficult to ask employees and especially customers to get out of the way for the photo, This is especially true when I do the gas stations that are combined with a well known quick shop type of store.
I guess I'll be as careful as possible!
I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing and see if I ever hear about it again.

For what it is worth, I have done thousands of these shops, some of which must have had employees in the background, and never heard a word.
I read a post on here once before that made me stop taking pictures of people. The forum post was about an angry customer getting mad at a shopper and put that shopper in a bad situation. I now take pictures when people are out of the picture, when they are turned away from the camera, or go behind a pole or something. I don't ever want to be in the situation that shopper explained.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Oh ya. I always try to keep customers out of the pic. Employees, not so much.

I take their picture from the neck down so that it shows the name tag and shirt but not their face.
Everybody does. That's how it's supposed to be done. It's unintentionally having employees in other pics that we're talking about.
