I saw that also. However, it is now a flat fee of only $5. In my area, that doesn't cover the amount of food they want you to order. Not working for free, sorry.
I see that it is drive thru only. but just $5?????

StARTS NOW AT 5.00, USED TO START AT 7.00, BUT IT GOES UP AT THE END OF MONTH...DON'T TAKE THEM NOW.

Now you're playing smart. You don't think they are worth doing at $5, so you don't do them until they are offered at your price. Just imagine if every shopper applied this logic to every shop! Of course I know it is not going to happen, because there are and probably always will be enough shoppers who make an excuse for doing job(s) for bargain fees or worse - for no fee!
No one was taking them until $15 in my area. Why on earth would someone take them at $5 in my area? It's simply nuts. Sorry MSC, you'll have to do a lot better than that.

What's done is done. An egg cracked cannot be cured.
There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
The fee will go up soon enough. I guess they thought having to go inside and take pictures was keeping shoppers away.

It kept me away. Haha

Once the fee/bonus goes up, I might actually try one of these now. The starting $5 is crazy, though.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
@RedRose22

These shops are extremely easy..especially having that inside requirement nixed..

5 dollars is a bit low..I'd consider 11 dollars or higher

Won't touch them until they reach $12, assuming we can still order a Jumbo Jack without cheese. Since we now have to modify it, it will save me from having to pull the onion off. My dogs love when I do these shops. Why wouldn't they? If you ever taste the meat without any toppings, it tastes like fried Alpo.

Good gosh. I just logged on and saw this. I thought that they were phone shops at that rate!
In my area a Jumbo Jack without cheese, value fries, and cup of ice water is $4.30 - $4.35 except in tourist areas where it comes to around $4.60.
I see a lot of them taken for under $10. I agree not to take them for such low amounts, but many others have no problem doing the work for close to free lunch.

I believe coupons are still allowed, and they have unlocked the time part (except for the mid-day) even if you picked a period specific shop. They have also removed the indoor visit part, but there is more timing work now.

I wish they had done a mobile app shop and start testing new stuff, but I guess they are not there yet.
I emailed a scheduler to ask how you can buy a burger for $7. I know here the burger alone can range $5-$7 EASILY, BEFORE sm fries. Here is the response.

Hi,

The average shopper fee for these locations when someone gets a burger, fries, and a water is $4. So, the $7 should be enough to cover that,
While taking the drive through window picture during a shop today:
Employee handing me bag of food but no water cup: "Don't point that camera at me no more bro"
Me: "Ok. Can I get my cup of water?"
Funny because he wasn't visible in any of the pictures I took.
How are others handling the drive thru window picture? It would seem difficult to get that photo without the cashier noticing or including him or her in the picture.
This new drive thru window picture is an odd requirement....when do they want it taken..also how does this not totally give away that your the shopper..Its a tough sell to the employee on why your taking a picture of the drive thru window

In my area most of the jack in the box burgers are 5.50 and above..I also like jack in the box so I would want a combo so in my case I probaby need to wait until these are bonused more..to get the meal paid for and get a bit of a job fee

My cashier was busy enough that I was able to snap a picture while his back was turned. I think my Honda sits low enough he wouldn't have noticed, but Boridi's experience is funny. My total for the burger and cheapo fries, including tax, was $4.20 (Austin).

I took it when he walked away to get the food and talk to another employee... but apparently he was watching me. You can also take it at an angle when you're a few feet away from the window.
I've so far only done 8 of them with the new rules, but there has always been a second or two when the employee turned their back to get my burger. That's all the time I need to take 1 or 2 pics of the drive-thru window. The JIB form also says that if you are afraid the employee might see you, you can take the photo at an angle. There are cameras all over the place; they are probably going to see you anyway.
In WA, the JJ, fries and water come to $5.26. Ive decided that since I'm going to be taxed on my entire commission, I'd be crazy to do the shops any longer.

I saw nothing in the instructions that said the cashier could not be included in the photo. An employee was often in my interior menu photo in the old JIB shops. Of course I tried to shoot when they had their heads turned around, but sometimes the store was so busy that I just had to point and shoot. I could always come up with a reason, if necessary, for taking a menu picture. I cannot think of a reason for taking a photo of the drive-thru window, unless it is to take a shot of the dining room hours which are usually posted at the window.
