USPS during December?

Hello, I am wondering if USPS offers their shipping assignments during December? I see some now that run through Dec 1st,but wondering if there will be more later in the month. Trying to decide if I should ship some Christmas gifts early or will there be more opportunities closer to Christmas. I'm planning to apply for some as I have a friend across the country I ship to, but hoping to get some gifts shipped this year too!

Thanks! I have applied for a few and everyone will get their Christmas gifts early this year. Now to get shopping!
They have been available in early December in past years, but who would even want to stand in the long lines later in the month just for a $15 pay?
I look at USPS shops as "lifestyle" shops -- something I need/want to do anyway, and the expense gets totally reimbursed. Plus, they are really, really easy, with a fast, fast, fast report!
I do several USPS shops each month. I have needed to go to the post office for personal business maybe 3 or 4 times this year to mail a package or other business. I do USPS shops for easy money and to add to my routes.

I like that, lifestyle shops. I see the gas station shops the same way, I always need gas and if I need to buy something I can always use a cup of coffee or water.

My only problem with the USPS shops is I don't always have something to ship so I end up mailing my buddy stuff like cardboard recycling and leftover Halloween candy! But when I do have something to ship it's really nice to have the shop.

Did you all know that you can get a stamp made especially for the flat rate boxes? So when you do a Hazmat you can purchase one or two of those. They are around $6.65 each. Not all post offices carry them but you can get $1 and $2 stamps at some of the post offices too. Then when a holiday rolls around and there are no shipping shops you can just affix your own stamp to a flat rate box without having to use 20 forever stamps. Just put your own correct postage on and off goes your xmas present right before xmas.
