So I'm not the only who charges a "it's too freaking cold for this" fee, LOL.

I did 2 yesterday. High of 29 degrees yesterday. Too freaking cold!!!
I re-read the LOA for the new MSC and Dec is considered a learning period for both the shoppers and the company. In fact the letter is entitled "Consumer Audit Training". And it is probably more of a learning period for the company than for the shoppers who have done BP audits in the past. The company is large and well established and I feel hopeful that everything will be worked out in Jan.
Well, I have schedule a dentist and a doctor visit between the 2 holidays. But, if its warm enough and I have time, I may try a shop or 2. They seem to just be sitting there on the board.
I just don't relish going through the "Haunted Forest" in the wintertime!.
I will only do bonused shops. The average distance for me to do these shops is 18-40miles. They sit on the boards forever because there are few shoppers in this area. One shop has me driving 68 miles one way to make $14.00 plus reimbursement. It doesn't even cover the gas on the round trip. A few of the MSC I work with have been understanding and offer incentives worthy of my time and expense.
I LOOKED at these new BP MSC, it's the same shop. The guidelines are a 46-page booklet. There may be a few changes but then all shops change a bit ever quarter or two.
Note: Has anyone suggested to these MSC that the fees paid to the shopper should compensate for the size of the station. How can they justify paying the same fee for a 4 pump station and a 24 pump station?

Shopping Southern Georgia, Valdosta, Waycross, Quitman, Thomasville and North Central Florida I-10 & I-75.

I once made a suggestion to a scheduler about their shops. I could tell immediately that she did not want to hear it. I don't do that anymore even though IMO suggestions from those who are in direct contact of their shops would seem to be more relevant than something dreamed up by someone who has never been out in the "trenches" so to speak.
As for the multiple pump shops versus the small gas stations with 2, 4 or 6 pumps, IMO, it evens out in the long run (at least for me). Most shops that I do, I will Google their location to learn their pump amount among the other germane information. I've never declined assigning a shop based upon dispenser amount though. Its usually because of the distance or site location versus payment nd bonus.
Applied for one of the shops yesterday and by 10:00 AM today had to cancel the application because I had to move on even though I was only a mile away. They need self assign.
I did my first one for the new company last week. (Definitely NOT my first BP)
It is still sitting in pending editing. I made sure to take a location near my house just in case I had to redo for any reason. I didn't want to apply for more until the first was edited, but geeze it's taking a while.
Also, it's odd but I've been seeing them on the job board then they all disappear. Then a few days later they all reappear.

Using Mobiaudit to report would make this shop go very quickly but like others have said, lack of bonus and not able to self assign in advance are going to be issues.
I did two on 12/4. Still sitting there.

The only one I have had approved was a closed location (renovation). Looks like I'm getting a whopping $5 for schlepping around the property taking closed location photos.

Is that in the guidelines? $5 for closed location? That's going to change my willingness to travel long distances for this MSC. The last one didn't pull that crap.

ETA: Yup. Looks like I got $5 for my closed location. That just means the incentives are going to have to be higher. Sorry, new MSC.

So has anyone seen the Dark Audits listed with the old company, new company, or any where else they shop for? Just wondering. Thanks!

I'm not happy about it either. The report takes forever as the new company has a crappy interface for uploading pictures which just takes too long. In my metropolitan area, I think the new company is going to be surprised at the bonuses the old company had to pay to get the shops done. But this may just be a test to see if BP will be satisfied with the new company, and perhaps old company will retain. The next quarterly BPs would be in February, but they should be having the dark shops soon. We'll see what happens.
In the old co vs new company debate:

Old company - hard to get along with, had to make multiple phone calls to schedule shops, stupid invoice system, POS app.
New company - OMG THEY KNOW WHAT EMAIL IS!. Great app. No invoice. I dunno how hard they are to get along with but honestly I emailed them several weeks ago about permanent routes and no response yet so not looking good.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the new company's clients so have never done a shop for them. If literally any other MSC had the old company's shops they would be 50% of my work.

Dark audits popped up in an email but aren't showing up on the board. Doesn't seem to be a test for it yet either. I have noticed one test shop on and off the board for a few weeks is off now..
The darkness audits are on the board near me with the new company. I only did one route of them for the old company, but the directions seem a little different from what I remember...
Did my first dark audit for new company yesterday. I'll let you know how it goes. These are as simple as audits get so if there are issues here, it'll just get worse!

I have 86 of them, completed almost half last weekend. All have been approved without issue.

I took 3 canopy photos, 1 MID and 1 building for each shop (just cropped the photos to show infractions). I spent about 3-4 minutes onsite for each location.
Was that you that took all my shops! (Just Kidding!) Glad they're going through ok. I picked up another 10 that are a bit further away, but they're clustered there so should be easy.

What is the name of the company that BP is now using for its mystery shop/audit program?

We're not allowed to say. That would be against the rules.
does the new company do self-assign or do they have to approve your request? Thanks to anyone who can answer.
No self assign for new shoppers

I had a route of 17 with the old MSC. Five of them have rebranded since the beginning of the year to a brand that will still have me doing their station with the old MSC. Has this been happening in other areas?
I had one rebranded from Exxon to BP. Did a debrand for company 1 and an audit for company 2...not at the same time.

Thanks for the reply. How many shops do you have to do for them to get self-assign rights? Also, I wonder if they will be doing these assignments in routes like the old company.

I ended up doing over 90 of the dark audits, have completed well over a thousand shops overall for this company and have only had 2 shops rejected. (Dim weight where I didn't realize the clerk went ahead with ground instead of the priority I asked for and a bank shop where the banker was new and didn't have business cards so she wrote her name/ number in the folder & there were NO business cards in the lobby area)

I do not have self assign rights that I know of with this company.
So how long did they give you to do the 90 shops? What I usually see is that they only give a due date of a few days when you apply for shops.

I took a few of the dark's to start. Then I realized that the locations around here close randomly whenever they feel like it. Half of them were closed before they were supposed to. Getting paid half for a closed location doesn't fly with me so I won't be taking any more.

I had a week.

There are several dark audits that I get emails about daily. Most are within a hundred miles of my house, some further.... all offering $12. Nope.

Anyone have luck asking for bonuses with the new company?
