I’m seeing BP with a new company...

I’m reading the guidelines and it definitely looks like the regular audit. Has this company ever done gas shops before? This company makes me nervous because they don’t seem to bonus as much as the current company.

I’m also a curmudgeon that hates change so this makes me feel some sorta way.

Definitely a switch.
New company bonuses when it needs too, don't think it will be much different. Glad they at least moved from my favorite to my second favorite.

I just saw those as well. Having not done one of these audits before, are they as difficult and detailed as a quick scan of the guidelines would suggest?

It's a detailed assignment, yes. If you haven't done any gas brand before, it will probably be difficult as well, and you expect to be on site for an hour. If you have done gas audits before, it's not really any different then the other brands, and should take 30-45 minutes depending on size of the station.

Hmmm. I have not seen any BPs on my other MSCs. Any hint as to which MSC you're seeing them?

It's a well known and commonly talked about MSC that uses shopmetrics.

Well, if its the one I'm thinking of, I thought they worked in partnership with the original MSC. Non?
I have just returned from doing several of them that I picked up from the original company. I have completed 40 this month and see may others on their job board within a 30 mile radius of my home address. Doesn't appear to me that they have moved anywhere. Also if history is any guide, BP's next round won't be available until Feb 2019.
It's definitely the same exact evaluation (slightly better base pay and reimbursement, though). I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out. There are a TON on the board at the new MSC.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I have done three and all on my IPad while at the shop. I did not think it was difficult at all.
If you look at the letter you would present at the reveal, it says that it is for training shoppers for 2019. So it looks like the 2019 shops will be with the new company. I'm not very happy about it.
I'm not happy about it either. The report takes forever as the new company has a crappy interface for uploading pictures which just takes too long. In my metropolitan area, I think the new company is going to be surprised at the bonuses the old company had to pay to get the shops done. But this may just be a test to see if BP will be satisfied with the new company, and perhaps old company will retain. The next quarterly BPs would be in February, but they should be having the dark shops soon. We'll see what happens.
The guidelines, which is like the booklet we will get is clearly written with the new MSC. This is a complete changeover, not something temporary. Reported one yesterday, didn't seem longer though the 4-pump station was nearly perfect so I didn't have to upload much. (I chose them specifically to be my first for that reason). The aggravating thing about this is going to be applying and not just self assigning.
We'll see. The guidelines are not the booklet and it's quite easy to change the name in a PDF document. I cannot imagine BP totally changing without testing the new company.

The new company took another large client from the old recently and seemed to test them with that, so I dunno. We will see.

I found the report much more time consuming than the old, not being able to just load the pics, and having to click to upload, wait for the 100%, click to go back on each picture. New company likely has not done picture intensive reports or perhaps has, but not streamlined it. I have many 12 to 18 pump locations in my area and the reports I did took me considerably longer than with the old company.
Have you tried it in Mobi?

No, I've tried it with their other massive client and most of the time it won't load for me, when it does it often gets hung up, and while I would love to use it for that other client as I have to wait 30 minutes to go to the next shop and I could enter while waiting, it hardly ever works for me. I have a samsung galaxy 9, so I can't imagine my phone being the issue. I have 7 BPs to do today and I'll try the Mobi on 1 and see.
It's definitely clunky. If you set it to not auto-update, you can enter all of your visits for the day and then when you get home just let it run in the background and it'll process everything at once. Much faster that way. But it's still clunky.

Well, I'll try it today and look for the auto update (did not know it was there..not the best techie) and see if I can change the setting. My issue though usually is that it just doesn't seem to work, won't load or if it does it freezes. Mebbe it has improved though, I 've not tried to use it in about a month. Thanks for the tip!
yup. thats it. It also keeps it from interrupting you AND murdering your data plan.

ty, i will try. I just went into it for a BP and there was no issue as happens with the other client, so hopefully it will work. I'll be very happy if so! TYVM!!
If I cannot self assign I probably won't bother. My M.O. is to get up and decide what i want to do today. I may self assign some stations and head out the door. I'm not sitting around waiting on a scheduler to check email. I'd like to take one or two and try them on Mobi but I got a bad cold so not doing out in the cold,, wind and snow to do gas stations.
Just did two to try them out with Mobi. Is it just me or are there two places to put the overall photo in? Also, I still don't understand (and neither did anyone at the previous MSC) why they have two places for employee descriptions.

I can't blame you. I had two applications sit for 24 hours that I was going to do tomorrow. The "old" MSC then bonused a nearby station to be worth more then those two combined, so I cancelled the two applications. Those stations usually were hard to fill for the "old" MSC. Maybe the "new" MSC will learn that we need to be allowed to self-assign, or to at least respond quicker.

Definitely agree with you that the report is not streamlined. Hopefully it is much training for them as it is for us. Did another one today, but I did pick and choose the smaller stations that are usually excellent, so far they have been.

I'm not touching the 16-pump and 20-pump "monsters" within 20 miles of me. I figure let my competition have them, get demoralized, then I don't need to worry.
The perks of having done every bp within 100 miles at one time or another.

Well, I'm still seeing them with the old company. Plus, in checking my MSCs, I still have not found any with them. Can someone give me an idea of which MSC it is that shows these. Or, maybe, its just won't be in my area (Minn and Wisc, sometimes ILL).

From the comments I am seeing, BP is doing different types of shops with different companies in different areas of the country. . . . .

Check all the Shop Metrics companies and you'll find it.
