Best and Worst assignments you've had?

Does Disneyland still do shops? I know you can’t say who, but that sounds amazing!!

They won't reimburse the ticket, though. Frankly, if I'm on vacation, I don't want to spend the time doing the shop for that fee. But YMMV.

You must be bilingual English / Spanish to do that job.
Hi there, I am new to mystery shopping and was wondering how I get started on cruise shops. Any info appreciated.

No great surprise here.....I'd say my worst shop to date was the one I posted extensively about today. No need to revisit. So to be positive, my very best shop to date was a shop of the bank at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon for $125. Not just for the money but because I've worked several seasons at the Grand Canyon, on both sides. This shop payed PHAT plus it was a chance for me to check in with some friends I hadn't seen in some time. Very much a winning shop for me. Squireparty

I've done that one (not the bilingual version) and it was super easy, plus there were 3 locations in the park I could do. Each one was less than 10 minutes of talking to the rep, 10 minutes for the report. I looked at it as making back the price of my admission for less than an hour of work.
One of the best ever mystery shop experiences that I ever had occurred on my birthday with a Major League Baseball team at their home ballpark. The MS assignment was not exactly a simple one, in that I wasn't shopping the MLB team or organization- I was shopping the stadium employees that were spread out in a massive stadium. The primary objective was to complete all stadium locations within 90 minutes prior to the first pitch of the game on 3 different levels of the stadium (not easy, considering that it took 30 minutes to go through 2 levels of security at the stadium's VIP entrance).
After accomplishing all my client objectives, the team rep surprisingly comped my meal (including two beers + piece of cake) in a stadium restaurant. I actually watched two full innings of the game itself close to the field by the home team dugout, and witnessed one of my favorite MLB players hit a massive homerun (the home team ultimately won the game later). Yet the best part was finding out that my full name (with a couple of other people) was featured on the large Jumbotron in center field, with birthday wishes from the team. Turns out that the MSC asked the team rep to wish me a happy birthday!

While the shop results turned out great from the stadium employees that I shopped, the class act from the team rep + MSC made this one of the most memorable & touching experiences that I've ever had while mystery shopping. Everytime I see this stadium in the media, I smile.

Which companies do cruise shops if you don't mind sharing?
Coyle is one. I do mind sharing the other.

A couple of years ago I shopped a local grocery store chain. I was assigned every store in my area. In one month, I got about $650 in groceries free. That was one of the best.

The worst for me was In 'n Out. I love their food, but the pictures they require without my cover being blown are nearly impossible because of the layout of the drive thru lanes. The report was so long too.

Best 2: Tesla test drives. Sometimes the pay is unbelievably high, and it's fairly easy to report and of course fun to drive. New tire shops--I did 2 of these that were super easy and got 2 new tires. Between the two shops I got 4 new tires (worth $600) and $50 pay.

Worst is pretty much anything from Closer Look, with a few exceptions. I did a restaurant shop that had a required purchase twice of what they reimbursed, and no pay. It took me 2 hours to write the report. Never again. Their stupid pizza shop is bad too. Way too much detail for the pay.
The worst assignment I had was actually last week. Someone came to my house to provide an estimate for repair work and he spent 3 whole hours talking about his company, their products and his life story. Then when it concluded and I said thanks for the estimate I'll get back to you, he flipped his lid and belittled my hubby and I for not buying what he was offering right in the spot. I said we needed a couple days to think about it (yeah right), and he actually said "I only get paid commission. I didn't drive all the way here for my own enjoyment. I came here to make a sale. Do you even have money for this? Why do you have to think about it? It doesn't make sense." We politely told him to leave. Immediately. The MSP was shocked and apologized, but all in all this was a rare experience and probably won't happen again.

@Fidobaxter, your story supports my belief to never take any at home shops. I don't even like pizza deliveries. I'm always worried that the person that comes over and doesn't make a sale will come back and mess up my home when he/she finds out they were mystery shopped, especially if it was a negative report like yours.

proudly shopping in the D.
My best was a nursing home shop from which I picked up much needed information. My worst was the very large Swedish furniture store(much walking many interactions and one department closed when I went to return an item) Then I had to go back to work.
