Anyone else have problems with phone reception for shops when it is raining?

Today it was raining where I live and most of my calls had a bad echo. I have Comcast Internet and I use Voip services. I live in a really rural area, and this is the second time I have had phone issues when it is raining. It is kind of ridicules. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just my bad luck?

In Seattle, I’d be hosed if I had this problem....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
There's nothing like a good scrap with the cable company. Because it's definitely their fault and they are definitely not going to admit it.

Hope you get a speedy resolution.
I really hate dealing with them.

Oh, I get it. So do I. And an intermittent problem, like only when it rains, makes it more difficult. But unless you are getting water inside, like in a crawlspace or a basement, and there's a connector getting wet, you can be sure that the issue is on their side and not yours. Give them one dispatch, then escalate. Most cable companies have people who handle the difficult stuff. They're not necessarily better than the others, they just are allowed the time to find and fix the problem.

Someone is coming to my house to check all of my connections. I had to call them twice before they would make an appointment. I am hoping that solves the issue.
Just to update, the technician came to my house and had to run a new connection. Plus, they have to fix something else on the pole outside. So, at least it was their fault and they are fixing it without charging me anything. Hopefully there will not be anymore echo or disturbances on my phone shops.
I have Sprint and if I wander 1 mm off a major highway or town, my phone acts as though it has never heard of service.
