car battery

Hi everyone,

This is my first post. I have been lurking for a while and everyone is so helpful.

I am going to need to replace my car battery. Anyone know of any MSC's that have a shop that could help get some of that cost covered?

I have never seen one in 13 years. But that does not mean they do not exist.

In my experience you might get a great deal by buying at one of those auto parts stores where they will install it for free. Or Costco if you are a member.

I have seen some that will offset car-maintenance with BestMark, SeeLevel and Inteillishop. They were for particular makes.... I do not know if they are current.

I did one for IPSOS several months back on the west coast. I have not seen them lately but they paid a flat fee of $65 that would cover a chunk of the cost of a battery and you could get any service from a long list...

I have not seen a car battery shop, but I learned recently that my auto club( AAA) will come out, test your old battery, and if needed replace with a new one for 1/2 of what I paid.

I get my battery from Triple A's, they come to the house and it's done in 20 minutes..time is money.

Thanks everyone. I haven't seen anything near me that my car qualifies for with those companies. I usually use the auto store around the corner from me, so I'll probably do that again.

Most places that sell batteries will test yours for free hoping to sell you a new one. Even Walmart and Sears.

If you have removable fill ports, you might just need to fill the battery with more water to extend its life.

You may want to go to the place you bought your last battery. Some have free or pro-rated warranties depending on how old the battery is. They usually have markers on the battery so you don't need your receipt. I think most expensive batteries are free replacement up to 2 years and pro-rated up to 6 or 7.

Walmart has the cheapest pricewise batteries. They will even test and put in for free just pay for the battery. If you have a cadilllac they have a slew of caddie service shops which a battery may qualify.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
