It seems like you have to know someone in Zone 5-8 to successfully complete these. For example, in one of the scenarios you have to state you are shipping perfume. Even if I wanted to I don't know anyone in zones 5-8 to which I can "pretend" to send perfume. I was wondering what some other shoppers did to meet this scenario if they didn't know anyone in zones 5-8.
If you post the first three digits of your zip code, friendly fellow shoppers may find that they are in your Zone 5 (or higher) and then contact you by PM to exchange mailing addresses. I currently have a mailing buddy and the same box often just goes back and forth If you search for mailing buddy, I think you will find a thread where some people posted the first three zip code digits.

Post your zip and you'll get volunteers. Stick to zone 5 so that when the charge runs over $17.00 it will be clear that you should be reimbursed the full amount.
I happen to know several people in zone 5, so I never had to worry about it, but above forum members posted great ideas on how to circumvent that problem if you don't know anyone.
If anyone is interested..my zipcode starts with 836..not sure where zone 5 is for me.

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.

Some choices for your Zone 5 are:
Los Angeles south to the Mexican border.
As far southeast as Tuscon, AZ. Not sure about going directly east.
Central CA is Zone 4 for you. It's too close.

you can mail to any address as much as you want but for hazmat need to be at least and preferrably zone 5.

I have a couple of shipping buddies, but tend to use the same person most of the time. With that being said, one of the authorized shipping companies has their information in their system, and last time commented on how I had shipped to that address before.

Do you find that much of the time the approved shipper ships it out, even though it supposedly contains hazmat items? I have never had an approve shipper not accept my shipment. Just curious.
This month I am 50% for the brown approved shipper declining to ship my package. In the past, they almost always did. The office products stores used to almost always ship the packages, and they are no longer approved shippers.

The office products store in my area is still an approved shipper. They are getting better, but there was one that used to religiously accept whatever I brought in.
