No More Certified Trailer Checks?

Has another company taken over trailer checks from Certified? I just got a message saying they don’t anticipate completing trailer checks on a weekly basis however they do expect to continue to do them sporadically.

Bummer!!

You are welcome. If you don't find it, let me know. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

movie-measure.com now does them and via an app. The trailer check clients have not been named, so naming their new
msc is perfectly legit.

I downloaded the app to my tablet which is Android. I filled out the form and hit Submit. I got an error message that said I needed to accept the Terms and Conditions. I looked them over and found no way to accept them. I went back to the page I filled out and clicked Submit again, and got the same error message. What am I doing wrong?
Are you scrolling all the way down to view them? Most sites won't let you accept the terms unless you scroll to the bottom of the document. Try that!
I even had my husband scroll down to the bottom and neither of us found anything to click to accept. Did you find a button to click to accept the Terms and Conditions?

I have registered with this company and all that stuff. Seems like an alright program but I can see a few areas of weakness such as 2 movies scheduled to play at or near the same times etc.
Bottom line for me is the payment per movie has dropped significantly from the amount the previous MSC was paying. Just don't think it is worth while anymore. Parking, gas and time equals next to nothing for the final payment.
Too bad. The previous company/ companies were excellent companies to work for and I never had an issue in over 10 years with them. Payment was very prompt and very accurate, every week with never a delay.
Two movies playing at or near the same time came be a problem, no matter the MS company. I've had to hustle from one screen to the next, praying that I would get in before the first trailer played.

The previous company would allow a partner to check screens that were too close in time. With the app this isn't possible. I am calling them Monday to ask a few other questions so I will try to mention this.

This is a new app for this company, so there are bound to be growing pains.
It's hard to say how this whole thing may turn out and maybe the studios will revert to the old system and msc. There is also a problem with chains like Alamo that strictly forbid cell phone usage while the movie is ongoing. Even if you are standing in the back with your phone turned on, they might still object to it or other patrons not knowng your purpose might rightfully complain about you.
Trailers checks were decent money when we checked all the screens for a film. When they switched to checking prints (both companies switched to prints only), I turned down one feature only checks. I do a quick Fandango check for showtimes and consider the time invested in driving to and from, gas, reporting. In my area CFA was not filling assignments - pay too low for one print. Once they offered a bonus, they would get snapped up. But they were slow in offering those bonuses and the only showtimes left were late at night. I brought up issues about the app with Movie Measure - checking more than one feature, overlapping times, overlapping features, etc. Since I check multiple prints/features, I do not see this app working for me. It's a great idea, but any of us can enter our trailers in the theater for the other companies - they have drop down menus, just click and save. Hopefully, MM will work the kinks out.
movie measure: Mine last week was for only one studio that certified used to have which is at the beginning of the alphabet. Was wondering if they also now are doing checks for certified's studio at the end of the alphabet?? Interesting to see how it all works out for them....
Hello @marg704 I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. One point we are trying to replicate is a 'partner' program, where you can still bring a partner but they must use their login for the app. That retains integrity of the information we provide. However, we would pay you for their work. We have done that for installs and it works quite smoothly.

Just noticed that Certified has some in NYC trailer checks for this coming Friday. Not sure if the studio client here has fully switched to movie measure or maybe is slowing transitioning there...but this same studio at the far end of the alphabet had none at all in my area the last few weeks...
