"free" credit score

So, got this email from Roosevelt Pinto for Informa advertising a shop that requires a 620-790 credit score (which most people [?] fall into). It must be from the last three weeks and it must be Experian. So far, so good, right? Except that it contains what appears to be an AFFILIATE link to freecreditscore.com ("You can retrieve a free "FICO 8" Experian credit score through ..." -- it's a Constant Contact URL). This particular company requires a credit card and $1 to get your score. Not free. Additionally, if you search the company name and ripoff, you'll find a myriad of complaints of being continuously charged.

I'm not comfortable with this at all.

I have completed many of these for Informa using the Free Credit Score link. You do not have to pay $1 or enter any credit card information. If you scroll down further, there is an option to "not upgrade your account".
Laura is correct. Just keep going to the place further down where you can continue without paying anything.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Interesting. I must have missed that. Still uncomfortable with it being an affiliate link.

It's fine @iShop123, they wont even send you junk mail from what I can tell. Been doing these shops for a couple of years now, easy peasy and very good pay.

Some credit and debit cards give you your credit score with the monthly statement. I just supplied my score off Discover's statement and it was accepted with no problem when there was an assignment in my credit range. The shop itself, if it is the same project, was surprisingly simple.
I got this email too and when I responded, I was sent an email back telling me he’d have to get back to me because he was going through some personal issues... but I keep getting the emails for shops anyway.
I get credit scores via email free every month and everything is broken down. Didn't sign up for anything, but a phone call to Experian or others will get them to send it to you.

Live consciously....
When I did my shop for Informa, I went to Credit Karma and got my score for free, took a screenshot of that, and it was OK. No issues. I'm signed up with Credit Karma, and they are really non-intrusive!
As of 3/6/2019 Informa will only look at freecreditscore.com credit ratings.

pasted from email: Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I do require a credit score from www.freecreditscore.com in order for me to see which shops are available to you. Please send me one from there. Thank you!
