PayPal Payment Question

Hey,

Does anyone have any idea as to why some companies charge processing fees when the use PayPal for payment and others don’t? I recently started with one company and was so surprised when a dollar was taken off, I mean it’s not much but every dollar counts right? Lol

I can switch to Direct Deposit but I don’t like the idea of so many companies having my DD information. I haven’t done a marketforce assignment in a while but every week they show up in my account with a 0.00 charge that seems so unnecessary..

PayPal:
PayPal always charge the MSC the fee. Some MSC's charge us directly for it each time we are paid. Other MSC's quietly pay it as part of their operating expenses, which takes away from the amount that the MSC can pay us initially. In the long run, it's all the same.

Direct Deposit:
A 0.00 charge? That's weird.... I keep a separate bank account for my mystery shopping. This gives me a little protection in the event of something bad happening.....

Yes, I know sometimes companies will do an authorization hold of 0.00 when you sign up with them and it typically drops off, but I’ve been getting it every Friday since I signed up with them 3 weeks ago. Do you think I should contact them?
I don't work for MarketForce... I'll leave that question for somebody who does and has direct deposit set up with them.

Whether they charge a fee for pay pal or not is up to them just like their payment schedule eg 1 month, two months, 90 days etc. None of the companies I work for charge me.
I don't understand the 0.00 fee from MF on your direct deposit. I get paper checks from them. You might call your bank and/or MF and ask about that.
MFJ has a good idea in setting up a bank account exclusive to mystery shopping to protect access to too much of your financial life.
The $0.00 is a ping to make sure your account is good. It's usually done once in the account verification stage.

Definitely pick up an account open shop and use the account for mystery shopping. Maritz, for one, has a shop with a bank that has easy ways to avoid fees.
I also set up a separate bank account for mystery shopping only. You can even ask the bank to allow deposits only into it from outside companies. I have never been charged a fee by PayPal as the MSC should be picking that up.

What? Why not?
My suggestion to not wanting to give out your personal information about your checking account. Open up a checking account you use only for shopping. I never mix personal accounts with business. The plus is your also keeping a good record.
