New Five Guys Location

A Five Guys is opening in a fellow shopper's town. She is going to test the waters before doing a shop. What are your "must haves?"

Mine:

Veggie and Cheese Sandwich with jalapenos and bacon
Little Cajun Fries

I did this shop twice last week, sharing the fries with coworkers.

Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, raw onions, and mayo. Little fries on the side. While I like the ketchup and vinegar, I really wish Five Guys would offer a good ranch dipping sauce for the fries...a match truly made in Heaven! Five Guys are you listening?!!!

Love the Little Fries!!!!! Need Littler Fries.

"Yes. You heard that correctly. Little and Littler. Of course it would be silly as a movie, but it is tasty as a side dish. And aren't you the clever one today." *big grin*... *steps aside to wait for food* *presses imaginary Staples button* "That was easy*.

Why "test the waters"? The shop is so easy peazy, just do it. Save herself 13 bucks. Doesn't matter what you order, as long as it is a entrée, fry and fountain beverage and sometimes a shake. But if you are looking for favorites, since they don't have Whataburger here, I go with the next best thing, a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, jalapeno, and extra mustard. No ketchup. If I decide to go with bacon, then probably a little, and add mayo to the combo. Ketchup on my fries, not on my burger, thank you. The hot dogs are good too.

proudly shopping in the D.
If you want Cajun Fries, order Cajun seasoning on the side and sprinkle according taste. Sometimes, they're heavy-handed with the shaker, and the fries are ruined.

Veggie Bowl, no bun. Must have grilled veggies. I order extra veggies/no extra charge - mushrooms, onions, green peppers, light on the grilled jalapenos. Fresh lettuce, tomato and pickles, which they'll place alongside. If I'm in the mood, I'll get a burger patty, which is placed on top of the grilled veggies.

I don't like their cheese.
Buuuurrrrger. Double cheese and bacon, with lettuce, mayo, and mustard. It's been awhile, but I think they don't charge for extra bacon. Yum. To hell with the fries.
JAS, they definitely charge for the bacon. My veggie sandwich was close to $15.

I have not done the 5 Guys in a couple of years and decided I would go on my own dime since I used to love their burgers. The price for the same meal - little cheeseburger, little fries, and small drink, had gone up almost $2.50. I felt that they had raised the prices too fast but the worst part was it was not a good burger. Too bad it was not for a shop.
Not for the bacon cheeseburger. If you ask for extra bacon they don't charge any extra. Or at least the last couple of times I did the shop. It's been awhile, hope that hasn't changed. Although, if you are doing the online shop, there is no option to order extra bacon online so it only works if you are ordering at the location.

I was never a big fan of their burgers, but when the MSC changed the entree requirements, I ordered a hot dog with ketchup, mustard and raw onions and never looked back. I also love the Cajun fries, but only when they don't put too much seasoning on them.
You said "extra bacon." I didn't see that. That is a good thing!

There aren't any shops available that I can do unto Thursday, and none near work.

5 Guys no longer reimburses what a little hamburger, little fry and soda cost in my area. I asked the scheduler if they could increase the reimbursement and was told no that I should order something other than a hamburger such as a hot dog which should put me at or under the reimbursement. What a huge disappointment that for the feedback they are unwilling to increase the reimbursement in areas that now pass on to customers a higher minimum wage.
big, that's why you ask for a bonus.

Hot dog doesn't even cut anymore as the prices went up dramatically in my area. Probably due to $15/hr min wage. Vege burger still puts it over.
My Cheese and Veggie Sandwich with Bacon, and fries and a drink, is over $13. In the city, it's over $15.
