Try a gas station. I do a lot of gas station shops and some have really good coffee.

Mostly Peet's and Nespresso Boutiques

There are a lot of Shell gas stations that have great little coffee/food take-out stores. Those pay very little, if at all, but you are reimbursed for some fuel, coffee and a pretty good sandwich that they prepared just for you. There are a ton of them in the DC/Baltimore/ NVA corridor, I know, Not my type of shop, but the coffee is quite good!

I don't bother with Peet's any longer...McD has good coffee, one buck for a senior coffee....and honny, I always drink dark roast, now I make French press at home using chocolate raspberry fresh coffee beans , so good.
