I think I've seen this shop and/or the company previously discussed so you might try a search. I haven't done them, but other shoppers have shared in the past.

Is this a project that involves or used to involve several designated departments and 125 or so items? tia.

Is it a Ross or Goodwill store? I've never done them, but my understanding is that they are a total crapshoot. If the store is in good order, the audit can go very quickly. If the items are in disarray, you could be bogged down for a couple of yours.

I think the sizing audits are really easy but then again, the store I do is very organized.

Definitely near the top of my 10' pole list!

The last sizing audit I did was 500 items. Not as bad as I imagined but still a lot of work for the pay.

Sorry I never got back on to clarify but the bonus usually goes up in my area for this store. It is the audit that ask you to go to s certain rack and count 100 items from that rack and document if there were any wrong items hanging. $50 just seemed to be a good bit of money these days but not sure if it’s worth it. I do them every month. They are not as hard as some think. 100 items in each category they select. Picture if 7 or more are mis-sized. Jot down the 400xxxx number on one tag in each category. I can do even the most disorganized store in under 50 minutes - report input 5 minutes. Not bad pay for less than an hour's work.

I've done 2 and they are super easy. 500 items sounds like a lot, but you will be done in way less than an hour unless your store is poorly organized. My last 2 were bonused, but not as high as $42. I would snap that up in a heartbeat!

I can do this store in 30 minutes in most cases. I usually walk around and shop, doing the counting bit by bit, so that I’m in the store around 60 minutes.
It’s a really simple shop that hasn’t changed much in 20 years. This used to be a revealed shop. Having the mangers, beg, cry and yell at employees got old really quickly.

I am curious how much max bonus have you guys seen for this shop..In my area, I have seen maximum $35..so total comes to $52($17 shop fee)..how about your regions ?

The sheer number of items made me avoid these for years, then I tried one because I was putting together a route and it made economic sense. Now they are a Yay! There is a relatively short learning curve to gain efficiency when doing sizing audits. The thrift shop ones are typically faster to complete on-site than the retail ones. Why? You go by the pricing tag for thrift but you need find the actual sizing label on each piece of clothing for the retail one. The pricing tags are usually in the same exterior spot on each thrift item which greatly speeds things up. You can gain speed in retail by learning where the different brands put their sizing tags and how they present the information. (Just an "M' or the word "Medium", etc.) You quickly develop ways that work best for you to find the data and record the errors. If you end up with a store that is a mess, avoid it in the future. There are a bazillion fewer ways to goof up these assignment than with typical mystery shops. These are low stress, no money out of pocket, and the super short reports with no chatty narrative (uploading a few pictures and explaining what you found if there are more than X number of mis-sizings) make for an overall good value for these shops even at $17 which is the typical non-bonused amount in Western Washington. P.S. If I'm in the mood to shop, I'll audit my size ranges. If I want to hurry, I pick the size ranges that definitely won't fit!

I ageee but the hardest part for me as a male is having to bras, panties etc. it’s difficult to find the sizes on the bras and I always feel odd looking. Not a typical gift I would buy.
