Walgreens

Just saw on the TV that Walgreens, at least near me, got caught selling tobacco products to minors.

I had to think this might be why they do compliance mystery shops, to prevent it.

Or perhaps it was a result of the mystery shopping.

They got caught 1800 times actually. The program is mandated. Not their choice.
The news said, "25% sold to minors" during the program. That is exactly how many sold to my son. 1 in 4.
The clerks are nothing short of stupid. It blew my mind to watch it go down over and over.
That's pretty sad considering the Walgreens register system will prompt the cashier to scan an ID and will not allow for the purchase to continue until an ID is scanned. The cashier has to manually override the system to allow for it to happen.

I know!

He did have one cashier flip her S*** on him.

"I'm a mother of four kids. Did you think that I was going to sell to you? Shame on you."
OMG my kid was so calm. I hear him reply, "Yes, ma'am."

Sometimes, they had to manually override numerous times to sell to a minor.
