Reimbursed by the Gallon

For the gas station shops that reimburse you for x gallons versus $x in gas, how do you handle the 9/10s of a cent?

If I double the the price per gallon, I'm not quite at 2. If I try to eyeball it, I'm always slightly over.

I'm curious what, if anything, others do.

I round up. If it's 2.499, I write in 2.50

I write in 2.499 and round up on the invoice. I've never had a problem.

I believe that $2.499 automatically gets rounded up to $2.50 after you submit the report. So save yourself an extra digit and write $2.50.
