Changed the questions

I just noticed that for April, the company that does grocery stores have changed the questions for each of the departmetns you visit. The others seemed to be a dead giveaway. Cudos to the company for making the change,

I hated some of those. On a recent shop I had to ask how to keep bread from going stale. Shocked me when the employee told me she didn’t know.

I just scheduled my first one this year, for April. It looks like no floral and no restroom evaluation, but every department.

I think they change the questions quarterly.

I think we are posting about different grocery chains. The one I do never evaluates the restroom. Since we haven't mentioned the MSC it is ok to say I am shopping Ralph’s (Krogers).

so how do you keep bread from going stale? I think we are all just dying to know.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

They never give you the “correct” answer so you don’t know if the employee gets it right or not. I keep bread in the refrigerator and if it’s over a few days I freeze it. Works particularly well with bagels.

Here’s another question that I cringed while asking. What’s the best way to peel a kiwi? The employee told me to cut it open and scoop it out like an avocado. Sounded good to me.

The guy took me into the backroom, to the prep station and peeled it for me. It was just like being on a cooking show. He also talked about how I would serve it. What I would be serving it with... perhaps a Greek vanilla yogurt dip would be nice? Then, he discussed other fruits that were in season that would be less tart. OMG I can never go back to this store for sure. He was awesome though. Kudos to him. You'd think that he owned the store.

Or he figured out you were the mystery shopper. As a regular customer, and probably a decent cook, can you imagine yourself asking that question.

He might have (correctly) assumed I was the shopper.
I have been to this store twice in 20 years. smiling smiley Probably not going back for awhile now.
