The mystery shopping world is actually quite large and varied. There is a lot more to it than what I ever imagined when I started shopping three years ago. You'll find that this forum has the largest free collection of information about mystery shopping ANYWHERE. The suggestion to go to the pinned notes in the New Shoppers area of the forum is a good one. Other than that, following conversations on this forum - great information (as well as some nonsense!) is shared daily.
One thing that would be helpful: Identify what your reason for mystery shopping is. I do this to make money, augmenting my teaching income. Other folks do this so that they can enjoy experiences they could not otherwise afford. Others do it to keep busy. Etc. You'll find that different folks will give different advice on this forum based on their purposes for mystery shopping. Know what your objectives are and you'll better be able to determine what advice to follow and how to best proceed as a shopper.
